We hope you all had an awesome Christmas and got plenty of great games to use on the tabletop! With the New Year now firmly taking control it's time to have a quick look back at what we thought were some of the best games from the show in season six and give you another chance to view their magnificence.
We'll be covering Wargames, Board Games, Card Games, Role-Playing Games and even some of the awesome Kickstarter projects that should be delivering to backers soon in a bumper long show that dives back into a very, very cool season.
Some great board games have come out like the tense Letters from White Chapel and the awesome Firefly. The seriousness of those games is combated with games like the brilliant Space Cadets and in wargaming, Infinity, Darklands and Flames of War to mention just a few.

Looking forward for a new year with tons of awesome ks but hopefully more of the ones that we already supported, in my case Dreadball, Deadzone, Kingdom Death and Raging Heroes. And the best for you guys! I hope you decide to do a series for Deadzone like you did for Dreadball, maybe a one day tournament/campaign with prices and all recorded with mounted cameras on the tables will be Da Mindblow ( i just can stop daydreaming either sometimes :P)

Pledged to journey, how couldn’t I? Sexy is an insult to that goddess of a game. So much so I can’t think of a better word.
I’m now needing to look into whitechapel. Looks good, and with FFGs behind it, all the better. My wallet is tearing up as I type.
Never been an RPG man, but i have developed a bit of an interest, would be good at least to see one in motion, get a feel for how things work. Might still turn out not to scratch an itch but at least satisfy a curiosity.
Anyway would be nice to win something for a change but good luck to the participants and depending on the prize, i’ll be one of many looking with green tinted eyes 😉

My personal favourite of anything posted up this year was the demo game of Bolt Action, which has since seen me embark on a 28mm WWII city fight table project, along with Wehrmacht and Soviet armies. Can’t wait to get my first 4’x4′ lot of terrain done. Urah!

2013 was an interesting tabletop year. For my taste too many kickstarters (especially from the “big” companies).
My personal favorite 2013 was the Dropzone Commander 2 Player set.
I still think Dropzone Commander is one of the best ever boxed starter sets.

Happy New Year BOW! Ya’ll know me from the dreaded THON SONG but I have a confession to make….. I didn’t paint a single miniature or play a single board game or war game throughout 2014! I know I know! I didn’t mean to swear at you all! What can I say? DJ’ing Hip Hop every weekend Friday and Saturday as well as holding down my 3D design job eats up a lot of my down time and resources but I owe a big thanks to BOW to keeping my interest alive throughout 2013 with amazing content and passion for the hobby. I check the site every day at work (don’t tell the boss!). I promise to do 2 things in 2014 though, get back into the hobby and retire the THON SONG! I got MANSIONS OF MADDNESS and ZOMBIES!!! still to unwrap the cellophane from so i’ll start there and if your in Leeds war gaming……. I will be bringing my MORTARION demon prince scratch built model to a table near you soon. Keep up the amazing work BOW. I’ll keep watching.

This video reminded me what a great year 2013 was for gaming. 2014 is going to be a busy year of modelling for me, with 5 kickstarters due to be delivered over the coming months not to mention a long list of boardgames i still need to buy.

It was a good year for me expanding a bit from just playing 40k and Warhammer, thanks to BOW I am now very much enjoying Deadzone, Dreadball and Bolt Action and looking forward to receiving Mars Attacks and Shadows of brimstone this Summer along with hopefully a new Space Wolves codex
