Well DONE to he Golden Button Winners! BTW….the link to the “Mech Workshop” seems to be bad.
Happy Sunday,
dont forget to watch the Greatest movie ever made. Oh i heard the best lyrics that ring true “Cars don’t talk back” “They’re just four-wheeled friends, now”
Hey warren that is staph infection
Not sure mate. Getting a follow up with the doctor tomorrow.
Its healing but quite slowly
Exorcist or exor-cyst?
I’ll be leaving now
Lol
Next Tyranid monster on the way. Its special rules are really grim.
@warzan
So you kneeled and after kneeling you got a bloated leg with puss coming out of it? You were blessed by Nurgle, that’s all.
Lol
When will the OTT AI bot start creating codebusters for Ben?
Ohh that is a cracking idea lol
Looks like a broken link above to Caesar’s project.

Updated – thanks for that. Missed it in editing.
“AI” may solve the skill problem, but they still won’t save you actual time unless you’ve mastered the commands needed to create the ideas you want …
At which point you have become an artist in much the same way as a guy splattering random blotches of paint on a piece of canvas can be considered an ‘artist’ by modern critics.
Here’s the thing : artists like Rembrandt weren’t creating art … they were doing a job that paid their rent.
It was only in the modern era when we started rebranding their work as ‘art’
Anton Pieck (Dutch illustrator responsible for Efteling themepark) has said that he valued craftsmanship.
(btw : his art makes for great inspiration for Moonstone and you can even see real life versions if you visit the Efteling themepark)
I just looked up that park and what a cool-looking place to visit!
> Here’s the thing : artists like Rembrandt weren’t creating art … they were doing a job that paid their rent.
OT: Today’s equivalent would be casual generic fantasy fremium smartphone games featuring all those lovely scantily clad women. 😀
dear god … I hope that won’t be considered art in the future 😀
Thank you for the Golden Button! I’m in great company, loved the Mech workshop build and the squigified Orks
Morning XLBS OTTers.
It may have been a difficult form of Anthrax attack you had @warzan ?!?
Yay Napoleon got to Moscow?
Comith the man comith the babby.?

Try the mutant turtles?
WARPSTONE.
I think it’s the Washington Post that uses AI to generate it’s sports reports. They basically feed it the stats, names etc and the AI churns out a short report. It’s quite scary how quickly this tech has developed.
Welcome to Cybertron world.
Happy Sunday!
Ooh TANKS yes Gerry.
A fantastic show guy’s.
it’s stunning how the AI did with the art work.
I have a Diamond Darrel plectrum somewhere in the house. I never saw The Old Pantera live – or even liked them. A mate and got a spare.
Papa Nurgle has bestowed a great honour on you Warren!
I think he did it because your favourite tree looks like the symbol of Nurgle!
Happy Sunday.
Was it me or was Dumbo the elephant in that Emperor AI picture, somewhere towards the centre of the image?
Happy Sunday!

Great show. Glad to see you all healthy and here on the show.
HAPPY SUNDAY…sorry no don’t like this AI stuff, is it not taking all the work out of it by the person, instead of you doing it, drawing , writing you just type it is to a piece of software and there you go, and if, don’t like, just type a bit more.
Putting on my thinking cap we’re reaching the eventual mental decline of humanity. Gingerly down the path of cerebral function found in Idiocracy we go without a care. The creative jobs are in the same jeopardy as was the case in The Positronic Man. We might just be seeing reality catch up to fiction in the same way we’re realizing Snow Crash. Our own biological evolution is being outstripped by the one done every four years in the computer world. All hail the Omnissiah and get me my servo drone.
I mean, I would suggest a topic, but tbh a Gerry guided tour through a museum sounds delightful
I’m with @Ironsheild on this, found the whole AI. thing a bit boring, fairdues not going to be into everything you do, but literally switched off both weeks on this topic a it just doesn’t interest me, possibly more than have enough hobby with painting wee little fighting men and just wouldn’t have time for all this arty stuff, and certainly cant be bothered with the is it or isn’t it question.
Really sorry to hear about all you health problems guys, and if above takes your mind of legs falling off, lungs failing etc then its a good thing if for no other reason than that.
Used ArtBreeder to screencap some portraits for characters for the Lasting Tales miniature skirmish game. Pretty obviously, it’s less important that it’s done in AI (or even an illustration) than that I get similar enough style portraits for my party members, and that’s where AI can come in, since it can easily spew out dozens of pictures from a few “seed” ones.

To quote from an article:
Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag perhaps sums it up bettern than anyone when he said last week “What I don’t like about AI tech is not that it can produce brand new 70s rock hits like ‘Keep On Glowing, You Mad Jewel’ by Fink Ployd, but how it reveals that that kind of derivative, generated goo is what our new tech lords are hoping to feed us in their vision of the future”.
“I think AI art, just like NFTs, is a technology that just amplifies all the shit I hate with being an artist in this feudal capitalist dystopia, where every promising new tool always ends up in the hands of the least imaginative and most exploitative and unscrupulous people.”
