Now that two retinues have been readied, it is time to set a filed upon which they will battle. By the average of 1 terrain piece per square foot, I determine that 9 such pieces have to be created so as to crate enough diversity and LOS blocking opportunities.

First, let us print and buildings. I am planning for a house, a hut, a stone barn and a fort, all painted following the  same method described below.

There are many ways to paint stone and IO wanted to paint thee buildings in a way hat would make them pop on the table as well as allow me to use them for historical and fantasy. Using this excellent tutorial as a starting point, I devised the following process, which strikes a good balance between good look and time consumption.
