Aeon Trespass: Odyssey (base game, expansion and godform miniatures)
Cycle 5 Primordials: Dragon of Phobos, Ur-Fleece and Meduketos
Ur-Fleece
Painting Aeon Trespass was a learning experience. One way to learn is to set certain challenges. With the Icarian Harpy for example I set the challenge to only use GW paints to see if I could get something that I would be pleased with when limiting my paint options. This also required mixing some colors to get the colors I wanted.
Another example of a challenge is this miniature, where I set myself the challenge to not drybrush. Now drybrush is a great technique to get decent effects with minimal effort. However, it doesnt always look as good compared to doing everything by hand so to speak. So thats what I did with Ur-Fleece. I wanted to combine everything I had learned into painting this miniature, namely blending, layering, highlighting, etc. I also did a lot of mixing of colors to get the colors I wanted. And to be completely honest, this is one of my best painted miniatures. In my opinion it shows how far I have gotten. As such, the paint recipes for this one will be a bit complex, but it was well worth it.

Meduketos
I like the art of this game, but not for painting. For painting the art sucks. The colors are desaturated, a lot of shadow is used and sometimes parts of the body are covered by text or is absent from the picture because of the pose of the titan or primordial. Someone of the ITU discord helped with providing a good picture of this primordial which helped. Pretty happy how this one turned out. Should have pushed the bulbs on the head with some lighter blue tones. Might still do that later.

Not my best work to be honest. The art had some OSL and I tried to recreate it without searching for techniques on how to do OSL. I didnt care enough and it shows. Not my best work, but it still doesnt look to bad in my opinion.
