The Battlefield in a Box range from Gale Force Nine expands in February with a new set of pre-painted terrain that can be used for 28mm to 32mm scale Sci-Fi wargaming. Gothic Sector: Castograd (designed by War Scenery) will be landing next month.

Hab Block Small Ruins - Gale Force Nine

Hab Block Small Ruins // Gale Force Nine

The first four sets of miniatures from Gale Force Nine give you some great battlefield cover in the style of classic Warhammer 40,000. You have the likes of the Hab Block Small Ruins, which are reminiscent of the old Gothic Ruins that many folks will be familiar with.

You can also get the Warehouse Small Ruins, which give you some alternative designs and can help to plot out different footprints on the tabletop when playing your games.

I like both of these sets already, especially since I already have access to a bunch of ruins like these and this would be a good way to cover more space on the my home set-up. The benefit of it being pre-painted is also not lost on me, especially since I seem incapable of getting tabletop terrain ready without having a breakdown.

A more unique set of terrain from the new selection includes the Fuel Storage. This gives you more line-of-sight blocking terrain but also something that could end up being a focal point of a scenario, perhaps.

Lastly, and probably most importantly, the new set of Castograd terrain will also include this Scatter Terrain pack. This will make your tabletop feel a lot more alive and you can also use these to illustrate where focal points on the battlefield should be and objectives you need to carry away.

Scatter Terrain - Gale Force Nine

As well as being good for those looking to get this terrain for Warhammer 40,000, it could also be perfect for smaller tabletops as well. This would be excellent for Stargrave, Five Parsecs from Home and much more. The Scatter Terrain, in particular, would be great for skirmish games.

Are you going to be getting more from the Heroic Scale range by Gale Force Nine?
