More New Gothic Pre-Painted Terrain Coming From Gale Force 9
January 23, 2026 by brennon
Some more Gothic Sci-Fi terrain has been added to the release slate by Gale Force Nine. This new selection will follow the previous set (see HERE) in March, giving you more ways to craft quick and easy Grimdark battlefields.
Hab Block Large Ruins // Gale Force Nine
We start with some larger sections of the city of Castograd with these Large Ruins for both the Hab Blocks (above) and the Warehouse (below). As with all of the Battlefield in a Box range, the collection is entirely pre-painted so you just need to crack it out of the packaging and it's ready to use on the tabletop.
Warehouse Large Ruins // Gale Force Nine
These Large Ruins packs for the Hab Block and Warehouse give you more height in your games and provide you with some much-needed line of sight blocking terrain to add to your table. You can then mix and match the Large Ruins with the smaller ones from the February release to make dynamic ruins for you to play your games in and around.
Again, I think these look great and are just what people need to get tabletops made quickly. They have plenty of use in skirmish games and larger battles, especially with those little sniper nests on those broken floors.
Consult The Maps
As well as the ruins, you can also get some more scatter pieces, which should be great for making your tabletop feel like it was once a living, breathing place before it turned into a battlefield.
Holo Command Tables // Gale Force Nine
You can get the Holo Command Tables and the Holo Command Desks to show where a base of operations might be somewhere on the tabletop. Perhaps inside some of those bombed-out ruins we've just been looking at.
Holo Command Desks // Gale Force Nine
I really like these for adding a bit more character to a tabletop. I think they will see significantly more play in skirmish games, using as objectives that you might need to chase down or places that you have to capture and hold. I could see these being picked up by people who are playing the likes of Stargrave, Kill Team or maybe Boarding Actions in Warhammer 40,000.
The first set of Castograd terrain will be coming in February but as mentioned earlier, this additional terrain will follow swiftly in March. Not long to wait.
What do you think of some of these bigger pieces of terrain?

Fantastic terrain especially the holo table’s 👍
Indeed. Pre-coloured terrain rarely piques my interest, but those tables not only look good, but also something I genuinely don’t think I could even come close to making at home.
