Firelock Games has a few new releases for you to pick up for games like Blood & Plunder or Port Royal, plus a Valentine's Day special for those who want to bring a bit of passion to the high seas.

Engagés Unit // Blood & Plunder

We start with the Engagés. These fellows were indentured servants in the employ of Boucaniers, plus the likes of Freebooter crews. They weren't particularly willing to sell their lives for those who "employed" them, but they were often fairly well trained and were good at putting down a blast of musket fire when the situation arose.

You can also get your hands on a set of European Militia for use in your games.

European Militia Unit // Blood & Plunder

These fellows came from all over Europe, so you could use them to bolster the forces of the English, French, Spanish, Dutch and every country in between that might have a stake in the New World. They were there to protect their burgeoning colonies taking root but equally, they could also be mercenaries selling their skills to the highest bidder, regardless of nation.

Miniatures You Might Have Missed

As well as the two new units above, you can also get your hands on some miniatures that you might have missed.

Carpenter // Blood & Plunder

For example, we have the Carpenter (above). Any crew is going to need one of these as there's always something that needs fixing when you're on the high seas. I would imagine that all of that manual labour has also made them good with a hammer and a chisel. You wouldn't want one of those clocking you around the head.

Lastly, you also have the Summer of Plunder 2025 miniatures, which are now available for general sale.

This set will be good for those looking to enhance their collection and introduce some unique figures for scenarios and beyond. You get the Sailing Master and the Pirate Musician (complete with dancing monkey). You also have the Hostage (who might be being made to listen to that terrible music), a perfect miniature for scenarios where you need to rescue someone.

Lastly, the set also comes with the Ship's Wheel piece. Mount this on your vessel, or maybe use it as some decoration inside a tavern on an island somewhere. The last remnants of a shipwreck now claimed by the island's inhabitants.

Special Valentine's Miniatures

Capping it all off, we have the Valentine's Day special figure that you can get from Firelock Games if you spend over $100.

This Boucanier Couple will be available until 21st February so you've still got time to get your hands on these miniatures and add them to your collection. I like to think that they have been parted for many years, whilst he heads off to find his fortune on the high seas. Back home, trouble has been brewing and she's had to take matters into her own hands. When he returns, he finds that the situation has come to a head and both must try and defend their home (and his newly amassed fortune!) from brigands and thieves intent on stealing it all for themselves.
