New Infinity Models Strike For August!

Corvus Belli are back for more this August with another wave of releases for Infinity. Ariadna, Nomads, Yu Jing and ALEPH all get themselves something new. There's much more coming throughout the rest of the year for Infinity too so keep an eye out for your favourite factions getting something juicy...
USAriadna Grunts
First up we have something to sait the appetite of you new USAriadna players. A new box of miniatures contains four Grunts which are armed with some of the most powerful weapon options available to them. This is your first chance to expand the American faction within the game since the Army Pack and I think they are most welcome.
Tiger Soldier With Spitfire
Yu Jing will be striking from above with their Tiger Soldier for the White Banner Army. They are an effective paratrooper regiment within the game and incredibly good at their job. Armed with the ever reliable spitfire they will strike a deadly blow against your force where you least expect it.
Algucil With Hack Device
The Nomads start powering up their various hacking devices and the Corregidor Jurisdictional Command will then implement that on the battlefield. The Merovingian Rapid Response Force can also hire these chaps as Mercenaries. Hackers are always useful and they can execute programs like Spotlight, U-Turn and Gotcha!
ACMON Sergeant of The Dactyls
Last but not least we have a deadly soldier for the Steel Phalanx. He is a new Enomotarchos character for the ALEPH and quite the major league super trooper for the faction as a whole. He has a distinctly Cyberpunk look to him which I love with that face mask picking out his targets.

Wow… just wow.
These are awesome, as with just about every release .. are there campaign rules with character progression and such for infinity? Would be really cool to have a necromunda style mode for these, imo.
You may be interested in the RPG coming from Modiphius Games, some minis which can be used in both it and the main infinity game have just been shown at Gencon.
Is there not also an older system in the 2ed Campaign Paradisio ?
Yes Infinitesimal, they are amazing, but how the f@#$in f@#! do they paint them so well, huh? I might as well just through my Yu Jing and Tohaa armies away, I have totally ruined them, I paint like D D Lewis I ‘My Left Foot’ trying to thread a needle. I am amazed by the skills of these painters everytime I see the results of their hard work.

What about Mr. Giraldez’ book ? And countless other giudes and tutorials on the Internet ? Not to mention my own not inconsiderable resource of videos. Plenty of resources to learn how to paint nowadays… Nowadays, a complete beginner can reach display-painter level in just two to four years of proper practice, unlike back in the day when there were no videos to show you how it’s done, and no Internet to speak of.
Not sure about display level but I’d agree with the general direction of what you’re saying.
I would say though that I can also understand feeling intimidated by some minis (and the studio paint jobs). I certainly look at them, and think, I won’t be able to replicate that. it may be caused (at least partially) by my own lack of effort but the net result is still the same.
Intimidating, sure. I can certainly understand that ! However, this is a hobby, not an exam. People do this for fun, much as a sunday painter can take pleasure in trying her hand at watercolours and obtain satisfactory results without expecting to become the next Delacroix; much as a chap who plays the piano can entertain more than adequately without expecting to get to Carnegie Hall; much as the casual cook can certainly delight the palate of his guests even though he is no Paul Bocuse… So can people gradually progress up to satisfaction in their own particular “violon d’Ingres”,… Read more »

I’m quite amazed at the level of detail still, never mind the scale change… Still giving GW a run for their money, in spite of whatever plastics they’re coming up with !
Wish CB would start a fantasy line as well, there would just be zero competition for what id pick up to skirmish with. Something tells me they will branch out in the near future 🙂
Oh, the you should look at Anima Tactics, or Dark Sword, or Red Box Games… These are excellent !
Also the relatively new Wrath of Kings line and they are affordable for what you get!
Looking forward to getting the grunts in the army box set. I will say that what I’ve seen so far, Infinity models do seem to have a lot of character in them.
The Alquacil Hacker is nice but it’s not blowing me away and since I already have an Alquacil Hacker model from the starter set I am having troubles convincing myself that I need this miniature.
Then don’t worry about convincing yourself. Lots of models in my collection serve no purpose other than being neat models I wanted.
I suspect the new Alquacil hacker came about so that you don’t have to buy the Corregidor starter set. I think there might also be some scale issues if you compare the Corregidor models with the most recent ones.
The old Hacker is very small, and the Wildcats (Medium Infantry) aren’t as bulky as the new Alquacils (Light Infantry). The former are still great models mind.
That seems to be the case. The new hacker is especially for Merovingian players, who don’t want to buy the starter for just one mini. Also It seems the Alguacil is the first in the new hackers type that have different backpacks from their unit. (You can see the backpack on Giraldez Studio’s fb page).
Actually the first thing I noticed was how great the female Ariadna troops looked. No silly sexy poses, they look they mean business like their male counterparts, and they still look feminine. This is awesome CB…more, more!
Yes there is not much underwear to paint on them, I just had a look at an old Caledonian volunteer with a LG – that one where a pin-up. The new Grunts look like front line troopers
Looks like i will be picking up even more USAriadna troops. All the new models look fantastic
They seem to have an inexhaustible supply of awesomeness. It really is the game that just keeps on giving.
I like also how they paint the guns black and the highlights make them look like matt black instead of shiny black. I hope that makes sense.
Yes the mat guns are awesome. I’m still trying to figure out how to achieve this kind of painting.
I’ll take at least one set of the Grunts and an Algucil – Turning into an expensive hobby that BoW got me started on
Ah the unrelenting and ever burning of my money, every month there are at least 2 things I want to by. Still i’m happy doing it. CB always producing the things that make me tingle, I love it. 🙂 It’s a real shame that it’s not really played by anyone at my locals. 🙁
