For this Wrath of Kings faction chat we descend below the oceans of Arikania to visit the Deepmen of House Hadross, the most defensive army in the game.

I like the fact that they haven’t gone with the standard fantasy Orc, Elves, Dwarves and Humans. It means that they have been able to come up with some amazing looking and very different minis.
The paint job on these models are amazing well done to the artists

OK, so I bought Nasier yesterday. I reckon watching this video is the only thing that could make me regret that decision… Here we go!!!
Ok, I MIGHT have made an error getting Nasier so quick. Hadross are amazing!!! But so are Nasier so I’m still happy. Looking forward to seeing them on the tabletop.
Quick Question: How does the Hadross stickiness work against the Nasier Longhorn’s knockback ability? Does he still get to knock one away before he engages and gets stuck?
that ability is:
Paralytic Presence: Enemies cannot disengage from this model during free movement.
As a push is not ‘free movement’ they do not get to stick but get moved away.
Slimey shark men mmmmmmmm.not sure but sound bad ass
This is the faction for me. Fishmen and you could really go for lots of bright colors in the painting scheme.
Hadross calls for those extremely bright colors unlike most other factions I have seen in games. They idea of vibrant fish men just seems too good to pass up.
I really like the flavour of Hadross, minis look so different from the norm.
I think I may have found my faction.
Was sure I was sold on the Skorza but damn those sharkmen are awesome…

..Now I wanna buy some and paint slimey Deep blokes.
Must admit, if there was one faction I would go for…..this would be the one.
These are not for me I’m afraid, I like their fluff and the theme is nice but it’s Goritsi and Nasier for me so far.
While that is not an Army that would interest me to play the minis are fantastic! What a beautiful range.
Faction looks very interesting. Would like to see some game play with them.

Hadross was the other faction I really wanted but didn’t get… Sharkmen, sirens, and creepy aquatic-humanoids… Along with weird Cthulu-esque sinister Deep-Voices… What’s not to love?

My first faction, you just got to love fishmen and here they are real and not a running joke like in WHF and as a Zelda fan i just love the upside down Triforce on some models.
I really like the sound of the mechanics for these guys.

Love this faction’s models but still want the werewolves.
I do like the shark men and “crab taxi” is just cool.
Although this is not the faction for me I do like the unique take this entire army has. The Jellyfish men don’t really look intimidating. That can be there foes downfall as looks can be deceiving. They are rank 2 troops after all.
Bought some Hadross for my wife to paint a while ago. I’d love to get the 2 player starter and maybe convince her to play and finally paint the Hadross Starter.

Another gorgeous faction. Really liked the look of the Sevridians, been doing some more research and the character leader for them looks especially cool.

Very interesting, not your typical Fishman with the frog regular fish like head . Not my style but interesting.
wasn’t too sold on these until i saw the crab taxi and shell dudes, i can only imagine @warzans manic glee at having units of shark men, but poor old Bens face trying to hold it all together is gonna be a picture when warzan has the words slime, crabs and tentacles all on one topic its going to be an epic carry on moment lol
Nice looking range, especially the newer pit fighter shark dudes.
Deep-ones, Shark/Squid/Jellyfish/Mollusc-people and various other monsters of the deep, Awsome or maybe that should be Jaw-some, I’m sorry, I just had to say that.
Crab-taxi, it’s interesting to see transport mechanic in a fantasy setting not directly reliant on magic or its equivalent.
The temptation increases, either that or The Deep Voices are speaking to me, Help!

First i was affraid of that faction on how it will looks but all those nice Sharkarosorus man are just amayzing the are hot man i don’t know what else to say , now if i have to play this game i juste don’t know anymore what Faction i will choose Haaaaa youre killing me guy’s to beautiful stuff to choose

Seeing these models on the table in someone’s hand really sells how different looking they are to a lot of standard fantasy models, especially this faction.

Awesome! I was hoping this preview would come along! Confirmed: Hadross is the house for me. I love the Carcharians, Kaxes, Shell Crackers, and not only is the crab taxi awesome looking as a model – it’s got an amazing ability. I think i’ll be going with these, but should a second calling happen, Nasier is still pretty sweet.
These guys make you earn your victory in games. They are no joke.
More games need a fishmen force. Really like these and have to say the paint job is cracking.

I really like these, but I feel like lots of people would play them. It makes my short list, but we’ll see if another factions calls me more.
So we have demons/elementas, celestial godbeasts, deep voices, and the darkness all turning people into things as adaption/survival mechanisms.
I wonder if this will turn out to be a ‘chariots of the gods’ thing with amoral sinister research AI’s remodeling humanity and dividing them into four design labs of changes to see which adaptions are most useful.
These are just cool, might be edging up to my favorite faction. I would love to see what other deepsea creatures could be morphed into the faction, poisonous sea snakes or an anglerfish would be fun.
If I was to go for a third faction it would be a toss up between Hadros and Shael Han. I like the look of both and eventually would probably end up getting both but deciding which one to get first would be difficult.
That’s it! I might have found my faction of choice.

I also like that they aren’t going with standard races. The crab taxi is is out of control and just waiting for some STD jokes.
I’m torn between all the factions, they all have a great design to them! Almost no “filler models” whatsoever.

Cool basing for a water based faction and makes good use of the deep bases.
Those are some really great looking models. This is my favorite faction so far.
The hardross after the rules tweeks seem just as hardy as before. The models look amazing as all o the wrath models are. Keep up the good work fellas.

Hadross is my favorite looking faction in the game.
I reckon this is the most original faction.

Having non standard fantasy races is definitely a good thing. These are cool, but those werewolves and Chinese dragons are swaying me.

I liked the other two more classic factions but these guys are really imaginative. they help establish a very unique flavour for wrath of kings.

Hadros are cool. The shark men and jelly fish guys are so cool.
All the factions are so well themed.
Like the pit fighters and the shell breakers however still prefer the Goritsi and Nasier
Seeing them painted, I think this’ll be the second army I grab if the game catches on, really unique and the colour schemes used seem simple enough to mimic
Shark men are definately awesome, but I really like the big “crab” and the look of the new smaller crabs with those corral swords. I also like the way he has done the basing adding the water effect that just helps to “place” these “sea” creatures in some context on land.

This is the faction the really grabs me, very different and some great models

Never thought I was a fan of sea-creature stuff, but those shark-men are awesome.
The Hadross Carcharadons and pit fighters are definitely the best models
The re-write/errata of the Frenzies is very good, they went from fiddly to wonderful in one small sweet step.

Hadross are gloriously freaky models, and great antagonists. Their soldier in the original WOK story was pretty cool too.
Just finished watching, I believe this will be my faction!
House Cthulhu in all but name, It would have been really nice if the “jellyfish” men where moulded in clear plastic as I could have got some super interesting effects with glazes oh well maybe I’ll use the method I use for painting beetles instead to get some iridescence onto them and make them look all wet and slimey.
I admit this house unnerves me but that could be because any type of deep sea aquatic creatures give me the shivers plus I hate sharks evil torpedos of doom. Really nice designs though.
Cool! Especially the Deepmen – but I think Shael Han is for me. Their Kung Fu Enlightened Golden Harvest movie style is for me.
I like that fact that Bryan brought his personal miniatures. First off, it gives me a better idea of what us ‘regular Joes’ can accomplish in terms of paint jobs. Which I think he did an excellent job on them. It also show that he not just a rep that knows how to play to sell the game, but is a player himself.
As for the Hadross themselves I like some of the models (like the crab and sharkmen), but I am not sure about the other ones. They might fit my play style somewhat, but not as much as some of the other factions though.

This faction has the look of the Legend of zelda meet H.P. Lovecraft or maybe a Pirate of the caribbean look to them. very cool looking faction.

You gotta love some fishmen. Some interesting miniatures and characters.
So is Warren just going crazy for this faction? How is he not yelling Sharkasaurus at the set? From a mechanic perspective, the resonance sounds really fun. I can activation order being very key.

Never thought the Hadross would interest me this much – and that Basing idea was awesome!
I really thought the Goritsi – Werewolves and vampires? Yes, please! – or the Nasier – Demons? Oh, hell yeah! – would’ve been my faction of choice but the longer I ogle with painterly lust these Hadross models, the more I feel compelled to make them my main jam. The Voices of the Deep call to me and…are they singing Dethklok’s “Go Into the Water”?

I was tempted by Goritsi, but now I’m pretty convinced that if I were to play this game it would be as Hadross…. the Shell Crackers and Crab Taxi, along with the Pit Fighters sold me.
This is my 4th fav faction in this game, the Squid & giant crab are awesome.

This faction reminds me a bit of lovecraft.
I wonder if the Triforce sigil was intentional homage? I personally would have spread out the two base triangles a little more and inset the apex triangle between them to suggests a trident. Minor quibble though. I really like this range and will probably pick them up even if I never play

I really didn’t want to like this game as I’ve got so much on the go right now but damn it’s really hard not to want to start playing!
I’ve never been a huge fan of aquatic forces but the sharks do seem cool.
As someone who adores the art design form X-COM: Terror from the Deep, House Hadross is very much to my tastes. They all look good, but the crustacean models, Deep Men models, and Oresund Cavalier are my favourites.
There are some interesting models in this faction, but overall they do not excite me as much as some of the others.

I’m sold on this game just hope I can get hold of the models in the UK easily. First game in years that tempts me to actually play the game and not just paint the models!

Really like the shell crackers and pit fighters (and that cavalier model is awesome!) Some really interesting and unique models throughout the range, which is amazing, but it does make choosing a faction really tough!
