January 18, 2018 by deltagamegirl22
Adepticon 2018 is coming and we need you to tell us what you want to see! We can't wait to bring you the best content we can provide for a variety of games, hobbies, talks and so much more!
This year we're looking forward to getting footage of Games Workshop and Fantasy Flight Games. We want to know what hobby seminars you want to see filmed from Games Workshop's Duncan and what would you love to see from Fantasy Flight Games upcoming Star Wars: Legion?
What else across the events at the con are you interested is Beasts of War covering.
What are you looking forward to most at Adepticon 2018?

I can’t wait! This is my first (real) Adepticon. I’m signed up for the Legion Kickstart and painting the starter on Thursday, with some Deadzone and classes in between. I’ll be spending time in some airbrush classes to up my comfort level with them.
There are a couple of Mantic Games tournaments on Friday for Deadzone and Warpath: Firefight that I would like to see.
For Duncan Rhodes painting, I think the Special Effects class would be the most interesting to me. I did not sign up for any painting classes except for an Elizabeth Beckley class for painting faces using Kingdom Death minis, which was my “if I could only go to one instructor class, which would it be” class.
Special Effects Class Description:
Citadel Technical paints make adding special effects to models easy. In this seminar, you’ll learn how to make use of these paints, from creating realistic-looking gore with Blood for the Blood God, to aging models with Ryza Rust, to painting glimmering gemstones.
Star Wars Legion: Painting the Starter Set (Dave Pauwels & Damon Drescher)
Kings of War Team Tournament
Choosing, Using, Maintaining, and Troubleshooting Your Airbrush (Ken Badger)
Painting a Complete Miniature: Efficient Techniques for Flesh, Cloth, and NMM (Mohand Art)
Sailpower: Fun Scale Combat in the Age of Sail
Non-Metallic Blades (Rhonda Bender)
Blood, Pus, Guts and Gore (Michelle Blastenbrei)
Painting High Quality NMM Using Brush and Airbrush (Mohand Art)
At over 300 events it is hard but I believe I have theme going. LOL!
Legion and Saga if you can just prowl those areas until you run out of batteries I’ll be a happy bunny 😀
I agree with the esteemed @avernos . Coverage of these two would be more than enough happy hobby time for me 😀 .
Legion, saga and steamforged coverage and I will be a happy bunny. Being greedy some more on the bayou racing game from wyrd.
Oh and don’t make it all work and no play for yourselves
Sounds like you are broadcasting from a toilet 🙂
I would love to see:
Choosing, Using, Maintaining, and Troubleshooting Your Airbrush (Ken Badger)
CMON’s Game of Thrones
Arena Rex by Red Republic Games
Games from Osprey, like their new zombie game, Last Days.
May the Jedi-Masteresses Dawn Windua and Gianna Wan-Kenoba get, by use of Jedi mindtricks, as much stuff about Star Wars: Legions out of the FFG-“Clan” as possible. For a start the Council wants to know about future plans in detail (f.i. Hoth or Naboo) and whether the “Clan” is going to bring out terrain pieces, too.
Let the combined strength of Gianna Lomaxdottir find out whether SAGA II is as splendid as SAGA I.
A lot to enjoy and watch we want. Raaaargh!
Aetherium and Freeblades and I’d like to see less of me in the vendor montage.
Oh sooo excited for Legion! I’m very likely to spill my tea/coffee if I see what I’m hoping to see 😀
Definitely being tempted towards Saga this year, so be cool to see some of the 2.0 action, otherwise happy to see all sorts really, new shinies are all welcome at my house!
i think your spot on ladies, GW and FFG with top billing. GWs with 40k and age of sigmar along with shadespire for the new hotness. from FFG the STAR WARS games and legend of the five rings LCG, plus the Arkham horror LCG and mansions of madness.
top of the pile has to be STAR WARS legions. last year was all about 8th edition but this is legions year. STAR WARS legion and FFGs other STAR WARS games are without doubt the real deal and a genuine contender for the crown.
i would love love love the opportunity to get a question to the guys at FFG. as a painter and collector i would love to see FFG produce boutique miniatures.resin display pieces with artcards and craft boxes in the manner of KD:M or forge world. is there any chance of us seeing something like this?
in sci fi Infinity continues to attract seasoned gammers along with forge worlds horus heresy.
really important that you guys cover the infinity seminar, it’s arguably the only other sci fi miniatures game with any kind of footprint. STAR WARS and 40k both have specialist media and BoW is BoW because it covers STAR WARS, 40k and Infinity.
speaking of genuine footprint any new on dropzone/fleet commander would be welcome.
really important time for these guys, make or break if you ask me.
in fantasy it’s all about age of sigmar. warmahordes and malifaux still have a pretty strong presence despite not being as popular as they were.
rune wars and game of thrones seem to have struggled despite offering new school game mechanics. still worth keeping an eye on these two though as they may well be slow burners.
the real success story though is steamforged. guildball and godtier are a must. these guys are CBs equivalent in steampunk and fantasy.
GWs specialist game middle earth battle companies needs some love and anything new from bloodbowl should be covered.
best put Saga 2nd edition and burrows and badgers in there or the natives might get restless
mythic and cmon are dominating the miniatures board gaming and certainly need seeing.
nemesis is making real waves and if they’re there a catch up would be cool. .
i’m a bit clueless with historical so i’ll leave that to those who know better.
of coarse keep your eyes open for those little gems.
– Hawk wargames : Any info on the future of Dropfleet and Dropzone commander
– Corvus Belli : Aristea! …
The weird and wonderful things that you just happen to stumble upon, because one never really knows if it is cool until you see it.
I received clarification from FFG today that the AT-ST and the T-47 Airspeeder will be released at the same time with the Core Set for Legion! Woot woot!
