We talked with the club behind this neat looking Team Yankee tabletop which has players getting stuck into a clash between Israelis and Syrians.

It’s fascinating seeing the change in technology as we look towards the 80s and these assisted tanks with all the bells and whistles! Are you enjoying some Team Yankee right now?

Exploring Kevin's Juno Beach Table

One of the awesome tabletops that we saw here this weekend was this brilliant Juno Beach tabletop from Kevin. This is a full on labour of love and is a wonderful and (as close as) accurate representation of what they would have been facing during the invasion attempt.

It features lots of great infantry, tanks and those massive landing craft too which are a joy to behold.

Robert

Thanks for the coverage.

brennon

No worries – hope you enjoy some of the videos we’ve got coming up of the tables. They are pretty killer!

Robert

The Bastogne table just reminded me so much of the Band of Brothers episode, especially the dug in infantry.

brennon

Yeah, I was immediately thinking about that too!

beccas

Great stuff. Will you be covering the seminars?

brennon

We plan to film the seminars and *fingers crossed* we’ll be able to put them up as VoDs.

lafayette

I’m looking forward to your coverage…

Life ment that my wife and I couldn’t attend today.

I’m watching the coverage from a labour ward now….

tankkommander

We need Dr Dave on OTT soon please.

brennon

Best wishes and hope it all goes well!

chrisjensen1975

We miss you Dr. Dave. Best wishes to your wife and family. We just had a new addition to our family as well. Enjoy the moment

templar007

Well Done!

Bringing in a new Flames of War player the old fashioned way! ??

ghent99

Congrats hope all is going well. Many here really want to see you and duke it out with v4.

halfmileduck

Wishing you and your family all the best. Hope to see you back on OTT battling your way through v4 really soon!

mcg

Looking forward to what the day has to bring.

erion

I like big bundles and I cannot lie.

tankkommander

Anything new coming for Tanks the Modern Age?

limburger

I’d guess that anything in Team Yankee will eventually make its way into Tanks ?

tankkommander

Looks like Q1 2020 for the plastic Challenger 🙂 Fingers crossed.

rubbsalot

are those beach trenches custom built? looks rather mint!

brennon

Yep, that’s an entirely custom table done by up a great group.

flatbattery

Aargh! Another relatively local event that life has prevented me from attending, thank the God of gamers that OTT can bring it to us instead.

chaingun

Great looking tables and from the pictures everyone looks to be really enjoying themselves. Have a good day and I look forward to seeing more.

gazky

I’ve just parchased the starter kit from BOW so I’m finally going to dip my toes into the historical waters. Excited to see what’s going on today.

tuffyears

don’t melt

rokdok

Nice work.

pinkdelinquent

The boards look amazing as always

chrisjensen1975

This comment/question is more directed towards Battlefront but any info would be appreciated.

First question is….Can we expect any events like this in the USA? I keep seeing all these great events in the UK and I am so jealous….lol

Second question….What suggestions do you have to help make FOW bigger in my area? There are a very loyal core group of us that play in my area and people will stop and watch us play entire games that don’t currently play FOW. Only problem is none of the local stores carry the product. I think if we had events like this in my area the interest would increase significantly.

Last comment….Thanks to OTT for posting this content. I really enjoy reading and watching.

benduncan96

Too far for me to travel but looks good. Just have look at the updates.

templar007

I’ve been looking forward to this since the Boot camp coverage.

Bring on the goodness OTT! ??

coachjose59

More battlefront yeeeeee!

hobbyhoo

Thanks for covering Battlefront Open Day!

zaknafein5

Looks great fun.
Love the tables.
Great stuff.

pagan8th

Been so long since I built anything WW2. Have fond memories of some of those kits as a child…

The Bren Carrier was always a favourite, but I have a soft spot for Tank Transporters because my dad used to drive them after the war.. collecting discarded german tanks from the desert.

tacticalgenius

excellent. I really appreciate the coverage OTT gives to events like these.

well done to Ben and Justin for partaking in this endeavor.

joewrightgm

This looks like it was a good time, thanks for the coverage!

eaglex11

Thank you for the good news

ghent99

What wonderful venue! A really beautiful lodge building, I wish ours in he states had bars in them but, that is why we started the Shriners.

Great coverage can’t wait for some of the new goodies to get here.

timeslayer

Man the wargaming tables are so nice! But is the event limited to Gale Force 9’s product lines?

lawnor

I dont envy you for this. Looks like fun, but working out in this heat watching people chill and drink when you can’t, can’t have been the best.

bobcockayne

The seminars were interesting , and see the lads have them above in the blog entries, some nice stuff coming out for Tame Yankee …….yes Challengers for the British…..

Good day , out bumped into Martin and Micheal who had an interesting couple ww2 memorabilia.
Justin updated me on his latest 3 d print of a 40k Grenade.

Only downside of day was the overcrowded train from Nottingham to Brum which stopped at every bus stop, had no central heating , was feeling ok before got on , totally buggered when got off.

darkdanegan

Looks like it was a fab day. I’m pretty excited for the Dune game (even though I snagged an original on eBay recently for a not insignificant sum!!), a shiny new copy will stand up to more rigorous gameplay than the old one!!

mkultra99

15mm Dune game..? Holy crap, yes please.

brucelea

Many thanks for the coverage guys. ??

lblunchboxlb

When will Battlefront start releasing stuff for Early War again?

gosho75

Just starting on Flames of War. This looks awesome! Let`s see how deep this rabbit hole goes.

wwbennylavad

Wish there was more interest in historic in the US
