We have taken over the staff lunchroom and as you can see we are ready for a big day of Leopard assembly and painting. Meanwhile James is editing together the 1st part of the Battle Report that we hope to have up soon.

We take a close look at the upcoming West German plastic models: the Leopard 2 main battle tank, the Marder armoured infantry vehicle and the BO-105P Anti-tank helicopter.

In this video battle report, Wayne Turner fields a West German Panzer Kompanie against Chris Townley's Soviet Red Banner Tank Battalion in the Dust-up mission from the Team Yankee rulebook. Part 1 includes a look at Wayne and Chris's armies, deployment and the first couple of turns. Stay tuned for Part 2.

We look at the upcoming West German support weapons from the Leopard book for Team Yankee, including the Jaguar 1 and Jaguar 2 tank hunters, the Panzermörser self-propelled mortar, the M109G self-propelled howitzer and the LARS rocket launcher.

Having finished assembling his new West German army earlier than he expected, Chris decided to challenge Sean to a game of Encounter.

Find out how quickly you can put together one of the new plastic Leopard 2 tanks - I've was assembling mine over the course of lunchtimes at work.

Small, nimble and deadly, Aaron shows use how to assemble the plastic BO-105 PAH Anti-tank helicopter. (I mean the helicopter is small, nimble and deadly - not Aaron; he's nimble, but of average size, and happily his deadliness has never been put to the test.)

Aaron breaks out the brushes to paint a Leopard 2 tank in the distinctive NATO three-colour camouflage. This afternoon we will have more information on this unique colour scheme.

We look at the upcoming West German Aufklärungs Kompanie options with the Leopard 1, Luchs and Fuchs.

Wayne is still airbrushing on his camo, Sean and Andrew are taking a break to play a game of TANKS (more photos of this to follow), Casey's pile of finished Soviet infantry keeps growing (I'm a little envious), James is still working on the 2nd part of the Battle Report, and finally Aaron's ducked out to us our usual airbrushing booth to work on the Hind objective... and I'm hiding behind the lens of the camera!

Most commanders like the idea of open countryside where their tanks can advance at speed, crushing their enemies in front of them. That's where you are most likely to come across a small hamlet or a farm like this one.

Khairul is a prolific painter (and really good too!), and as part of the management team at our Factory he has been known to grab early casts of new aircraft to paint up for fun. Here are a couple of examples of his latest work.

Sean and Andrew took a break earlier this afternoon to play a quick game of TANKS. Andrew's Jagdpanther took out a Sherman with a single shot in turn 1. In response Sean managed to start a fire inside a StuG that ended up burning out the vehicle over the next 3 turns. The Jagdpanther was crowned the king of the battlefield at the end of a hard fought match once it dispatched Sean's Comet.
