KoW dwarves sound more like your average fantasy dwarves but with more strongholds and underground passages.
Dwarfs. Always my favorite faction in any game.
The best of the KoW ranges if you ask me. Mantic really does dwarfs well (violent sports game and SF dwarfs, too).

Dwarves are defiently one of the first factions I look at when I start a miniatures game. I will definetly think about getting Dwarves and defiently the Abbysal Dwarves in the future.

I really like the way the Dwarf models look. The bayer I sea is brilliant!

I didn’t think I could like the dwarves anymore than I already did, then you put them on badgers…I can’t wait!!!

As to the basing, I really love the idea of modelling Units vs Individuals. It makes set up as well clean up much easier. You can also drop a few models and see much more detail on the remainder. I put a post right on the movement tray. Than use colored rings for casualties.
I prefer the Abyssals to the standard Dwarfs. Though the Badgers are swaying me.

Dwarves… so LITTLE to talk about…. The come up SHORT as a faction in my opinion…. But they are nice MINYs…. 😛

Never really been into the stuntys before but dwarven cavalry on badgers none the less, might get me to change my mind.

The KoW kickstarter was solely responsible for rekindling my love of wargaming after a 15 year hiatus, and the dwarfs were the army which sealed the deal for me. They’re so much more versatile than most cookie cutter dwarf armies out there. I love my Brock Riders!

I love the dwarfs in this game they are a good army that seems to be competitive as well.
I like this faction I think I would play dwarfs. The ‘Fluff’ is cool sounding to me. To me that makes the game play more fun
Now that I didn’t know. I really like the idea of having a group that’s stuck together and doesn’t come apart. I mean obviously you’re gonna paint them separately, but having them as a group when they’re on the battlefield is fantastic!
Bought the army deal a year ago. WOW it had everything I needed. Easy to assemble and a lot of conversion possibilities. Just got the 20 badgers from kickstarter. man that is going to look good.

Ah, the dwarfs – both my girlfriend and I play them – and form them into a larger army for multiplayer games.
She takes the Anvil – Ironclads, Bulwarkers, Ironwatch gun line, and war machines (Mostly cannon, with one organ gun to keep people from wanting to close..
I take the Hammer – Rangers, Brock Riders, and either more Rangers or a Steel Behemoth. What passes as the mobile force for the dwarfs.

A curse on Dwarven cannons. KOW is the only game I have played that does not leave me mentally drained afterwards. T’is a refreshing change to be sure!

I have a friend who plays dwarfs. The cannons are really good when paired with a Warsmith.
The Brock Riders are some of my favorite models that Mantic produces….
Nicely presented. The dwarfs do look fun. I liked the explanation of the physiology of the dwarfs with there forward leaning necks.
Would love to read more of the fluff behind the Mantic dwarfs.

the dwarf’s are by far the race i find the most cool in any game!!!!
I really like the isolationist themes behind the dwarves. Solid backdrop for a race to have. I hate you all equally!
Would make great allies for humans
As someone who enjoys painting and really loves their army, one of my biggest gripes with WHFB is aside from the front rank or two I really don’t see any point in painting the rest of the unit as they are really just glorified wound counters. The fact KoW doesnt remove casualties sort of fixes this for me.Warren’s suggestion of making diorama bases seems pretty awesomely sweet.
Sadly no one seems to play KoW in my area it’s just WHFB =\

the badgers are supper cool. i’m assembling some now. I’ve yet to use my Dwarf army, but i’m optimistic! i’m sure i’ll be asking for tactical help soon.

got to love dwarfs
From fluff perspective dwarves are pretty much the same as we know them. About the miniatures, they aren’t the most virtuous dwarven models I have seen, however they are pretty nice, and, I don’t know, when you see the minis together, cramped together on the tray, looking menacing, having their weapons at the ready, holding their shields, aiming with crossbows, the war machine operators looking for target, well, they just kick in. Wonderfully coherent. I absolutely like them, even though I’ve always had my reservations when it came to dwarves.
Been looking forwards to KOW week since I joined BOW! If (when) I get around to collecting Dwarfs, they will be Imperial Dwarfs- Roman-esque guys with big rectangular shields and helmet crests!

The sculpts are an interesting design, but so far the faction doesn’t grab me.

When I was first trying to pick a Kings of War army, I kind of wanted to do Dwarfs. I never did much like the stubby looking beards though 🙁
The one Hero guy looks awesome though (can’t remember his name atm.) So I may have to just pick up that model to have. Think I’m sticking to the Elves though. Really want that Tree army.
I love dwarfs, mantic’s look great and then they add badger riders. If that’s not icing on the cake I don’t know what is…
I forgot to mention the throwing mastiffs option, a really cool concept that could look amazing on the battlefield …

Always loved Dwarfs these are not very different to the other game WFB which is not bad by any means.
I liked that short discussion about creating modular dioramas. That idea has a lot of appeal to me.
I like dwarves, especially on badger, but if I played them, I think I’d be afraid of them singing and juggling plates and bowl for the first third of the game.
