Happy Sunday! How is the answer noy ‘Saga!’ I’ll also be playing Warhammer Fantasy Battle 3-9th ed, Kings of War, Mordheim, Warcry, Kill Team, Necromunda, Hail Caesar and Warmaster. I’ll also play 5th ed D&D and Warhammer RPG.
The St Petersburg miniatures (54mm)are art. Nothing short of rediculous.
My favourite Modern art story was when the cleaners threw out a piece of ‘art’ because they thought it was a pile of rubbish.
It’s the XLBS Show……….Happy Sunday Fellow CoGs!
Really love the Death Korps Of Krieg Landing craft! I’m stealing that idea. Yup, it’s mine now!
I would love to see the “Live Event Table Play” be a recurring Saturday thing! I was really looking forward to the Rorky Run so I’m definitely up for more such stuff…
As to what to run on those days…….well, so many possibilities. I really don’t know where to start. I just know I’ll watch, especially with the possibility to “kind-of” interact with the players through Chat.

As to what I’m working on this weekend. It’s ‘Reign in HELL’. Custom Cabals and custom terrain.
Also, I backed the ‘Black Site Studios’ new SLUDGE army. Pretty sweet set of minis. They also have some custom MDF terrain for SLUDGE as well. But I’ve already been working on an army made with some Perry minis and a custom terrain board that uses many ‘Gerry Can’ creative applications. Thanks @avernos
Pull out your penis pumps and the Greatest movie ever made, ITS SUNDAY
Yeah… BUT: Is it… ART?!?
Here is a date, November 1977, Greatest date ever
I like the idea of using the Mechanicus transport for the guard. I remember a novel from a long while back where there was a amphibious imperial guard regiment that used landing crafts. That could work. The book was flesh and iron
Happy Sunday!
Live streams would be fun. Preferably so that I can just stick on the live stream, watch and listen as I do my hobby or chores. It’d be extra awesome if you could get rules authors or historical/genre gurus involved, whether via video or in person.
Craft vs Art Vs Commercial Art vs Fine Art. I’ll say no more as I don’t like trolling and we need to move on.
The gaming of anniversaries is something I’ve done in the past with none gaming friends as an educational tool. They don’t have to be big battles but tiny skirmishes like the gunfight at the OK corral and other famous none war events. Or the anniversary of a film release like my Aliens project. I’d like to see a battle that isn’t what people expect such as a Zulu war battle that isn’t Rorkes Drift. As for those bikers in fett. On coruscant maybe. Tatooine, no.
Those mobility scooter things look like they should be lined up outside a shit pub in Blackpool.
Happy Sunday all.
Gerry brought up Hitler less than 3 minutes in. Must be a record.
Art like beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Modern art is like putting lipstick on a pig, but it’s not for me to tell someone else if the pig looks beautiful now.
Nice editing there John..Loved the text contributions.
Happy Sunday.
I’m just listening today… with a coffee… I think…
40:00 @lloyd “Primary colours don’t sit right”. From a visual standpoint I was thinking that at first too, BUT: those are juvenile teenagers. Rebelling against what is the norm. Of course they would go for bright poppy colours. Just think of the punks of the 80ies.
43:13 And yes, the chase was slow… we talked about that on Imperial Interlude! https://youtu.be/wM1Wr-sJCtg
51:00 @rum8le not only has some or a lot… he has ALL OF IT! That’s why I don’t get my order! And yet he complains about his shop having run out! Monsters! MONSTERS!
1:04:00 *plays the smallest violin once again*
1:06:00 That Black Lotus has been debunked. It was faked. No real BL where harmed.
1:13:00 I want a live “eat weird shit from around the world” again!
Battle of Fishguard 1797
Cornish Rebellion 1497
Battle of Shanghai 1937
The Combat of 30; The Combat of the Thirty (or Combat des Trente) was an odd episode in the Breton War of Succession that took place on March 26, 1351 AD. Fought at a pre-arranged battlefield in Brittany, the encounter pitched two groups consisting of 30 champions and knights against each other, with one side representing the King of France, and the other side representing the King of England. The challenged was originally issued forth by Jean de Beaumanoir, a captain under the French banner. As befitting of knights, both the French and English fought for a long stretch of time – so much so that even a crowd gathered to watch the bloody contest.
These spectators were even served refreshments.
Hi OTTers.
Anything can be art it’s the dumb ass that’s paying for it that values the worth that’s the comes from.
Happy Sunday~
I got to play Bushido today at club, my Minimoto vs my mate’s Shiho Clan.
My models look like garbage compared to those, but at least they’re painted.
Gerry’s doing the battle of the five army’s ???
Molotov cocktails spicy spicy?
Everyone is trying to get off plastic an our dumb ass government go we need new security on money let’s go for plastic notes daft or what.
Quadrotantoine
Happy Sunday!
My vote for Historical battle without a lot af figures is the Battle of Mirbat.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Mirbat
Jungle book snake ??
Happy Sunday.
Yes it’s art.
I’d love to see livestreams, both battles and board games, historical or otherwise. Even 40k if you start really early in the day you might just get a few turns in by nightfall ?
@brennon I’m popping around to Northumbrian Tin Soldier tomorrow. I’ll ask them for Wombles.
Fab looking non-squat squats forgefathers.
Nice one guy’s.
I really enjoyed your House of Hell sometime ago and would love to see something along those lines again. With regards to a wargame how about the Battle of Castle Itter with Bolt Action.
Battle of Towton
The Battle of the Little Bighorn if you can get the minis
Operation Market Garden would be my ww2 one.
Battle of the Seelow Heights may be interesting to do has well
Art is in the eye of the beholder everyone has different opinions on it.
@avernos if you keep the elves on 40×20 bases then you can do 10mm kings as well…
Admec tank see my post from July 19

Never got into Mordheim, but i do like seeing minis from the range painted up. Nice work @brennon.
Nice find on ebay Jerry, that’s a nice little warmaster army you have there. Even if there not mighty Dwarves, just plain old pointy ears ?.
Lloyd with a cunning plan, hope it sees the light of day ?. Liking the look of the Death Korps, i would like to get hold of some of them of them.
Nice golden buttons, I’m gonna have to get me one of them someday. First off i’ll have to start a project, then post pictures of my work.
Live streams, not sure what I would like to see. I will have to think about this, great show guys as always.
Since @avernos will inevitably start painting up some samurai thanks to Clash of Katanas this year, how about the Akō incident (the revenge of the 47 ronin) for a live stream game?
From the ‘Seven Samurai’ to the ‘Magnificent Seven’… against all odds heroes will be found? ?
It’s interesting to see a number of wargaming sites/YouTube/Twitch organisations doing more livestreaming.
Mini-wargaming started doing them recently and I just watched Uncle Atom of TableTop Minions’ latest stream talking about doing this sort of thing as well.
Is there a sudden shortage of video editors or is it more about increasing the connection to the community?
I certainly miss the old bootcamps and Turn 8…
mostly I want to play more games, but there is a limit to what can be edited.
Is there some way you could replay the whole 1066 run – start with the battle of Fulford, move on to Stamford and then finish with Hastings? Could they be linked?
a possibility certainly
Haha @brennon, come, join the Biege-side!
Art is way too subjective and personalised and there is no right answer. For example (not saga), you look at a cloud and see a Dragon, someone else sees, a dog, someone else see a tree branch, a fork, someone else looks and just sees its going to rain later. Someone else looks and wonder why were so excited about a plane flying across the sky. If you create someting or paint on something and it makes somene have an emotional or intellectual response that is apparently quantified as art. Just my tupence hapany on it all.
For streaming anniversary games some quick wins, Undaunted Normandy for June (6th), September as well as bridges, also a crucial month for Battle of Britain (Blood Red Skies), December Battle of the River Plate, got 11 months for that one and with Victory at Sea around sure could coble something together 🙂
As a maybe sometime in the future MArch 6th I think is the Alamo, April has battle of Jacinto from Texas War of Independence.
