So what is Lorescape? The core of the Lorescape offering are their hex-tiles, which are designed with some unique properties that allow them to be flexibly used for all manner of different games that you might have in your collection.

Because they can be arranged both horizontally and vertically, this allows you to build all kinds of maps for your roleplaying games but also big set-ups for use in your wargames like BattleTech.

There are twenty different biome sets for you to choose from when it comes to their Tactical Scale offerings but as well as that, you can also get a bunch of Combat Scale options which allow you to zoom in and start building combat maps for use in roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons.

There are plenty of games out there that make use of hex tiles. There are plenty of classic roleplaying games (and modern ones) that explore hex-crawl map-based campaigns and the kit from Lorescape would be absolutely perfect for that! You can mix and match amongst the big environment packs from Lorescape in order to make some gorgeous set ups for the tabletop.

I had only seen the Tactical options, but seeing the Combat options for the Tavern and the Caverns is a great addition to the range. The Caverns are going to be exceptionally good for creating interesting dungeon delves. I like the idea of letting the players start to build what they "think" the dungeon is as they go, only to find out the Dungeon Master has some surprises waiting for them!

When it comes to diving in, there are plenty of different pledges for you to choose from. One of the starting points that I think looks quite good is the Adventurer Set, which comes with a good mixture of tiles for making small maps for campaigns and outdoor encounters whilst also giving you the hex-clips, which you can use to mount figures and other accessories.

If you want to go BIG, then you can also get yourself the Mapmaster Set, which comes with a whole bunch of tiles alongside one of the storage solutions that Lorefoundry has produced. Handy for the Dungeon Master to have on side for when things kick off!
