Opening Our Discord Server For Everyone

Hi Otters
As many of you will know we run a discord server for our Cult of Games Members (also lovingly known as backstagers!) its one of the perks for those folk who help us keep the lights on, the bills paid and bread on the table.
There is no doubt that as a team things are likely to get tough in the coming weeks but the most important thing is sticking together as a community and keeping each other supported and entertained.
Isolation is no fun and can have a big impact on the mental health of most folks. So from today, we are opening our discord server up to be free to access for all of our community members.
As much as we rely on our Cult of Games members to keep this project alive (more now than ever before) I'm sure they would agree that in times like this we open our virtual doors and bring everyone into the fold.
You are all our extended family and as such we want you all here with us as we navigate through this.

The right thing to do, welcome one and all. Keeping talking, whilst we might have to isolate we don’t have to be alone.
I was thinking about this last night too. In the event that we do all get locked in our homes it might be nice to set up a viewing guide for “OTT TV”. Just a timetable of who in the community plans on streaming when, even if its just someone turning on their camera while painting and ignoring the chat for a few hours. Throw in the times when pre-planned OTT content is scheduled to go live, and maybe bigger public streams (I hear there’s some kind of Adepti-can’t thing maybe happening online. I know the likes of XLBS is for members only and presumably a source of your income, but free access to the extra videos (for a limited time) might help to pass the time for those trapped in their homes… and some people may find themselves out of work due to the virus too.
Perhaps extend the trial period of backstage pass.
Just a thought.
Currently we are planning to move past episodes of XLBS across to the main youtube channel for folks. Just looking into what it’s going to take

Is there a way of supporting a ‘backstage area’?
As one who is now “locked in place” I appreciate broadening the number of folks to interact with, especially as I live alone and my dogs are with my ex-wife. Time to really focus on hobby.

Awesome. I love you guys and want to show some support right now. Is there a way to just donate a bit more now and again? I might do that as I won’t be in any cafes buying any coffee…. I’ll be watching you lot and maybe do some hobby if the kids let me while they’re at home!

Brilliant idea! And you’re right, the coronavirus period is very difficult, and our mental health suffers day by day.
