Happy Weekend!
Alessio is a buzzy man – good for us 🙂
……Good Midnight from Mexico!!!!…. 😀
Great show guys. Halo looks great, johns board is awesome and the pre painted scenery is such a great timesaver.
Roll on Salute and the Halo demo games.
Good to see some Flames of War coverage.
Those buildings look very cool
AdeptiCon! It’s soooo close!
World of Twilight is at Salute every year. It’s where I first tried the game out a few years back. The minis most remind me of The Dark Crystal, which is definitely a good thing.
Getting a preview demo game of WoT on monday at club from one of those going to be on the stand… I’ll make sure he’s well prepped!
Oh man I can not wait for Halo!
Happy weekend!
Nice buildings from Battleground. Good details plus, most important, they are prepainted. I just hope it isnt the start of GW-like blink-and-you-miss-it limited edition releases in the future.
guys, when can we expect next flamestrike update?
I am so loving Flamestrike, BoW did a freaking amazing job of putting that together,
terrain looks great!
It’s the weekend… as of yesterday!!
Need more thgan 1 of the steelworks… At least 1 with damage…
Oh you bastards! When I’m checking out the “By Fire & Sword” you decide to bomb me with Halo Ground Combat.
How it’s going to be fair when comparing Polish Winged Hussars and frigging Pelican?
The grin on Neil Fawcett’s face makes me think of the child who got to look around Santa’s sleigh before the delivery run on Christmas Eve. He knows a lot of people are going to be so happy with what is coming. The minis look good and there is so much to come from the different generations of the game.
Gung Ho/Banzai – about bloody time honestly.
Halo looks epic. The first couple of Xbox games were superb. If Spartan can bottle that lighting, they will be onto a winner. I shall certainly pick up the starter box. And some armour. And perhaps a few air units…and so on.
Happy Easter Weekend everyone!
Are the Halo models going to be plastic like the Fleet Battles game? Also how about game size. Is it feasible to just have one battle group each for a small game? Is the game scaleable?
The Hunt for Red October game sounds interesting, may have to check this out when it hits Kickstarter. I’ll back it as long as the rules state that the Russian player must use Sean Connery’s accent at all times!
HALO PRE-ORDER AT SALUTE!? I’m doomed after all..
EXCLUSIVE MODELS?? Oh my..
I. Can’t. Wait.
I wouldn’t mind seeing how their warthog turns out, I have been looking at converting one for an attack bike I may just end up using this if it is good.
Also I really want some terrain :p
Halo looks fantastic, not too sure about the ‘Hunt for Red October’ though..
I do like the FOW buildings, very nice
Superb bulidings. GF9/BF Bring forth a lot of marvelous pieces. I would love for them to reproduce more woods though. Greatly looking forward a 15mm halo game ^^
Infinity week next week awesome!
HS3 week next week… even more awesome! Human Sphere 3 is so exciting!
The silhouette of your naval support is firckin genius! I wonder how much them pop-up banners I sometimes have to lug around cost.
OH OH i need buildings
Man, those Halo 3-ups are such a tease! I almost expected Neil to start smashing them with a hammer while yelling “Halo at 28mm is wrong!” 😀
Was hoping for some submarine models, now it’s a board game. kinda disappointed, but may pick it up anyway as it’s hunt of the Red October, any idea when the kickstarter is gonna launch?
great show the halo stuff looks awesome would really love those 3-ups and confirms for me this would have been huge and a serious 40k challenger at 28mm and most defiantly made more money for spartan than 15mm but has a die hard halo fan will be all in regardless of scale
Halo looks good. I’m going to give that some serious thought. The show was a good one guys.
Another good show boys! N3 for the win!
What an absolutely brilliant interview about Halo; Ground Command. All the right questions to let us know what the game is going to be like and where it is likely to go. Thanks guys,
Flames of war always do good scenery, new buildings look great. Tempted by the Halo ground assault game! Not sure about Red October, how will it compare to the previous board game version ?
Highly recommend you give Twilight a go, the gameplay is as unique as the models, and they are super-high quality casts too.
warthog yeah! so iconic got to get some
I don’t think I Heard what material the HALO Ground Command stuff will be. Is it plastic like Fleet Battles?
I agree, Lloyd, those buildings would be great for Tanks and seeing Banzai, I wonder when they’ll add the Japanese tanks to the range.
Good shoe. The new Halo looks really cool. Giant tanks on a 15mm scale. Oh yeah
Flames of war the Pacific. Now we are talking 🙂
Hunt for Red October, yet another must have game, my poor bank balance! Looking forward to Salute and picking up Gung Ho and Banzai.
Agree about the clock tower. Will look good set up among some other buildings.
Love the look of the FoW buildings.
Yeap finally I can do the battle in manchuria at the end of ww2, man japanese anti tank assets were sooo deplorably bad….
Happy weekender! Looking forward to Infinity-coverage next week!
Those 15mm buildings might actually get me to try out a ww2 or modern conflict games in that scale….
Somehow have to make it to Salute just for Halo if nothing else….
Great show, the new range of buildings look amazing,
I hope they do a 28 mm version of Halo ground battles….since they can scale to what scale they like, the 28mm type marine was lovely…..
Halo looks great!
Halo ground battles .. Huzzah!
Happy Easter!!!! A feels a bit odd to be watching this hangover free.
Weekender is here .
I backed the original World of Twilight kickstarter and the miniatures are fantastic. Something really quite unique and well worth a punt for a fun painting project.
Happy easter guys!
Great show as always … Really looking forward to the infinity human sphere week!
Great Show! Very nice buildings.
Can’t wait to see Human Sphere N3
The announcement of Infinity week came as a surprise. Can’t wait to see what’s in store.
I’m also curious when there will be another Flamestrike update.
Happy weekend, everyone!!
Show sounds like its going to be really good this weekend! Cant wait to get home from work and finish watching it. Thanks again to the BoW team.
Oh wow Halo looks like it’s going to be awesome~ New Flames of War buildings are coming out? That’s cool news! Winning some would be even better.
Who do not need more terrains? 🙂
Halo stuff looking really cool, great show as always
Yes, more Halo!
So many good games, so little time
Are they going to have these at AdeptiCon? I could collecting 15mm if I won these.
These buildings are great for Team Yankee and Flames of War. Unforunately they are limited and not sold seperatly.
My brother designed the hunt for red October game, Its way better then Waterloo and more different then they made out here. surprised they didn’t mention him considering he wrote the beta rules and did all that prototype artwork you saw. His name is Jack Caesar and his games are all badass.
Would love to have the terrain, I’ve got two earlier pieces from miniature building authority and can use the rest to finish out the table!
That’s some awesome terrain!
I’m both sad and relieved that I know almost nothing about the Halo games, as it makes it pretty unlikely I’ll be adding this awesome looking game to my collection…
I need Buildings 🙂 and lots of them
They just brought in that 28~mm UNSC trooper just to show off. But I now want to use them for a IG detachment. I can see why that went with the smaller scale so they can get some of the bigger units on the table.
I love this show! Best Saturday morning routine ever.
Oh… I am so excited about the Pacific finally getting dome attention from BF. Most of the hardware models are probably out, except for those jap amph tanks. I wonder how close the early war jap inf models from Rising Sun will be? The landing rules are also featured in the D-Day books (drifting and such). Did they account for boats being stuck before they get to the beach? Whichever, I am sure to collect two more large forces….
Great show guys!
Well, even though i’m not much into 15mm gaming, i WILL check out Halo Ground Combat, it looks fantastic! It seems my wallet will shrink again this summer 😉
Lady Luck be my friend and let me win those lovely buildsings. 🙂
Another good show fellas. 🙂
Lady Luck be my friend and let me win those lovely buildings. 🙂
Another good show fellas. 🙂
Nice to see more Pacific WW2 stuff…I wonder if all the recent Bolt Action releases for that theatre spurred this on?
good morning weekender, awesome episode guys..
hollyy …. i need buildings for my bolt action table.. cross fingers..
First MLP for my daughters and now Hunt for Red October for me. River Horse is becoming my new Mantic….oh, Happy Weekend guys!
I would love a set of those buildings. Awesome show guys
Looking forward to seeing the Battlefront buildings… and Happy Saturday!
Looking forward to N3 week!
Those are some very sharp buildings. Would love them for my new Tanks! Table.
Great episode! Halo ground combat looks great. I really want to see it in person to get used to 15mm scale. More importantly though infinity hsn3 week!!!!! Caaaarrrrrllllooooooooos!
Ooohhh Halo
Some fantastic stuff coming out, each and every year the industry just throws more and more beautiful stuff at you. Love it.
I signed up but would love some freebies!
great show guys the halo stuff looks really good.
very nice
Can’t wait for the Infinity coverage.
Busy weekend guys, I love it! Also love to win those buildings 🙂 good luck all!
Really looking forward to Adepticon and Tanks
Great show guys!
If I won that Knight i would just carry it, he would sit on my lap for the ride home. I wouldn’t take a chance with sending it.
Halo might just be what gets me into 15mm.
Great episode guys, right up until the cheesy impressions!! 😉
Waterloo is a fantastic game, I’ll be backing HFRO
I don’t think there is a happier man in gaming than Alessio. He really is a kid in a candy shop.
if your looking to get into the pacific flames of war check these guys out they are covering the pacific and they are each building a different type of force from the books. lots of inside info from battlefront as well https://www.facebook.com/groups/BELPodcast/?ref=bookmarks
I love Halo, but I passed on Fleet battles. Now they tempt with a ground based game. AAAARRRGGHHH there is only so many systems one can play.
That halo stuff looks awesome!
happy saurday guys, FoW is going to be very bussy this year, I cant wait to see more coverage on new Tanks game.
The Flames of war buildings look great. Wish Spartan would have gone with 28mm for Halo, how cool would that look on the tabletop. I got in on Alessios waterloo, looking forward for Red October. Awesome show, keep it up guys.
Ben your a top man but that impersonation was awful. Bring on the Infinity stuff next week.
Love the Battlefront terrain. Would love some of those buildings on my tabletop.
Gotta love the fow terrain!
Happy weekend everyone. Infinity week about to start, a chocolate fuelled weekend and salute not far away….. Life is looking sweet …..
that terrain looks great. getting more and more interested in dropfleet.
I had always been gutted that halo was Xbox exclusive. The interview about the Halo ground force 2 faction starter set was really insightful. I’m looking forward to Salute even more now.
Looking forward to a new Infinity week and details about the new Human Sphere book.
Nice to Alessio Cavatore get back to war and leave the My Little Pony at home. Lol. The RPG will probably be excellent fun, but I’m glad The Hunt For Red October has been pushed again and seemingly found its path to the tabletop.
Terrain competition and a ton content?
Great weekender gents.
Now onto the Xlbs version. 🙂
Not really a true weekend w/o a weekender!
As always , great video!!
those building look really good
Another great show with something for everyone.
Please let me win!
After doing a little tidy-up I swore to myself that I wouldn’t buy anything new until I had painted at least half of what I already had (not for the first time). Now you show me Halo… curse you!
Wow! Those buildings look fantastic. Would love to get me a bit of them.
A super prize to win. Tanks sounds very interesting. As a fow player with North african armies, the new terrain maybe doesn’t quite fit, but it would be the excuse I need to launch into the Eastern Front.
Happy Easter! Happy Weekend! Happy Gaming!
More Halo fleet battles, the world needs more Halo full stop.
Hats off to Neil and the team, all the figures look fantastic and I’m sure the game play will be even better.
All this and the promise of more to come.
They’ve knocked it out of reach.0
Halo minis look awesome can’t wait for the starter set and the new flames of war books look interesting I’m liking the way they are using the tide to affect your landings on the beaches
I would love those buildings for the new Tanks game, i’m gonna pick that one up soon as possible
Excellent show. Halo ground another game to get into.
I like the look of the buildings and anxiously await infinity week.
Need to get in on all these different games! time to save the pennies
Always need more terrain
Turns out the idea of pacific theatre camo not being just shades of green made me vaguely interested in painting ww2 minis.
Halo: Ground Command looks really interesting. Can’t wait to see it at Salute (Y)
Argh! You guys are getting me into Halo again! Those Lekgolo, so awesome, they were always dangerous. The Sangheli? In 15mm form, totally YES please!
That Pelican is hopefully going to be wee bit smaller in the final product, but knowing Spartan Games they like to make 10, 15 and even 28mm versions of everything!
Fantastic show!!! Bring on the buildings and Halo.
Happy Saturday ( for yesterday that is….lol )
As ever a great show guy`s, now where to start……………well first of looking forward to this week`s show`s on Infinity`s, as i`ve only really just been looking it to this system since last year. I`ve picked up one of the gaming pack`s (layout and building`s) of E-Bay, and also picked up the box set of the 45th HIGHLANDERS RIFLES ‘Galwegian’. I just fell in love with them when i read there back ground, and they just reminded of “Terry Pratchett`s – Nac Mac Feegle`s” but only the bigger version`s of them. I`m looking at adding a few more to them, then if time and other hobbies allow i`ll add some other unit`s from the
Caledonian Highlander Army………………
Now i`m liking the 15mm Halo figure`s that Lloyd was showing on the show, they where some of the best mini`s i`ve seen for detail at that scale. I like that we got to see some 28mm scale version`s of the “Grunt and Trooper”, now i for one would love to have a squad of each in 28mm scale but then that`s just me…….or is it.
As i already have Dropzone Commander and i`m waiting on Dropfleet Commander, do i really need another game in that scale. But then again the answer will always be, sure you do you always have room for one more miniature`s game.
Like the new buildings from Battlefront, with Lloyd on the Steelworks factory. You gotta have at least 6 of them, maybe have some battle damage on some of them.
Now of to watch today`s show.
Salute just around the corner and thought had everything budgeted out and you go and show Halo ground command what are we all to do?????
Hunt for Big red !!!!!!!! must
Boy, that Halo game is looking mighty tempting. It’s nice they are releasing a 2 player starter set right off the bat. I am quite interested in learning more about how the game works. I wonder if Spartan will create an army builder tool for it. Seems like every miniatures game out there has one now.
Great show as always! Good To have you back Lloyd!! The buildings look fantastic, a quick easy way to get a table up to play.
Ideally like the World of Twilight stuff. I remember chatting a bit with the people making the game at salute last year, they were very nice! Fingers crossed they’re doing demo games again this year as I’d love to have a go.
iam getting the halo ground combat game that looks like fun
Cringed at the bit where lloyd pushes the little alien with the warthog xD
Supercool buildings! We play eastern and western front i FOW so they would fit in very nicely! Hope to win!…
More FOW please!
Those Halo models look good!
Those buildings would fit nicely on my Bolt Action Table
Love Battlefront’s terrain and wish I had the funds to get the subscription but kickstarters have drained my coffers dearly. Still maybe I will luck out and win some or my LGS will get a few!
Some of the terrain bits remind me of colonial style buildings. Could work possibly even for an earlier time in America. Or if Nazis attack Williamsburg VA.
The Halo kits looked class as well. Really great show by the Spartan folks.
I love the Battlefield in a box stuff. My favourite product of theirs is the modular river range, but i would love to add their new premium buildings to my collection. Fingers crossed.
Some nice looking bits of kit in this week’s show.. This could get expensive 😛
Halo at 15 mm looks cool and that’s coming from a fantasy player.
Those buildings look good
halo must have it
Why of all weekends was I away, not sure If not watching this upon release is worse than missing Easter Sunday. Great Episode!
As a massive Halo fan, I went all in to Fleet Battles, now it is time to go for ground combat!
Also having a massive Soviet FoW force, I suppose some terrain wouldnt be too bad for them 😉
Great film, I will have a look at waterloo also.
Great books to flames of war, I like Japans, a pity the tanks thing.
hello from Portugal
Great buildings for fow, must check out Spartan games halo at salute
Happy Weekender. I’d love these buildings. Cheers.
Can’t wait for some Cold War sub hunting 😀
I managed (barely and, to be honest, only so far – it may change!) to resist the Halo Space combat game, but i’ll be all over this ground combat game like a rash!
Hunt for Red October looks interesting as well, will probably dive in on the KS for that too.
I think I am going to do the prepurchase option for those buildings. Don’t tell the better half but they are too cool to pass up.
Well Hallo Halo, you’re looking mighty fine, come to BoW often?
Totally taking look at Halo at Salute.
Fow pacific! Maybe Is time to start a new army.
Those lizards look a little to weird for me. But looking forward to those new FoW books.
With those large models Halo Ground Command could’ve been even more epix with like 10mm or 6mm scale.
Another fantastic weekender.
I don’t have time to search the forums and inter webs for news so these really help
It’s all about 15mm for me.
Well done
Those buildings look awesome, my new british Paras need something to fight over. Great work on the show guys and thanks for giving me something to watch every weekend!
good afternoon. Although a bit too late for commenting.
Looking forward to more cover about Red October game.
Maybe another game to add to the wish list Halo looks really nice
Neat buildings very nice
Yes! The previous version of Hunt for Red October sounded interesting but not what I really hoped it would be. This current idea hits the nail right on the head for me. 80’s CG stylised North Atlantic Cold War battles – TAKE MY MONEY NOW!! 🙂
Happy Wednesday!
Finally managed to catch up with the Weekender. This was a great show guys and the ruined eastern church building would be great for By Fire and Sword! Ugh, and Infinity week is already running for three days! I need to catch up on this too.
Great show. Looks like there’s loads to look forward to!
USMC in the pacific is very tempting!
Another great show guys. I could see it now, my M1 tanks defending this nice German town from a horde of T72’s coming over the hill.
Buildings, Buildings, Buildings!!!!
Halo on the historical?
Halo looks awesome. Buildings look awesome. Lizards look awesome. So much cool stuff. I need to win the lottery so I can afford to BUY ALL THE THINGS!
Crazy week, having only now time to catch up with the Weekenders.
The Red October game sounds very cool, got to get on that Kickstarter. Also strangely tempted by the Halo game, although I’ve never played the video game.
Very late when I saw this weekender. Nice show. Much inspiration for Flames of War. Love the buildings, but would like to see more normal houses.
The pacific, ow no, must resist. I want to start some Island hopping with a brigade of USMC’s.
Great show as always guys!
Really like the Hunt for Red October game and the lizard trader.
The Battlefield in a Box range is excellent and these new additions would certainly lend themselves as being centre pieces for any table. Might have to find the pennies for them.
Need this scenery for my team yankee board!
That is some very fine buildings. Clocktower really lovely.
