@while the pictures came out this time and look great.
@amachan those Kingdom Death monsters are nicely done. Between you and Drether I am sorely tempted to break mine out and start on them. They look fun to paint.
@george Sealy getting some good results from the new lighting set up. A friend of mine has built something similar and says he can’t go back. How does it effect picture taking?
@lenthalas sweet looking chaplain. Have you considered a light violet highlight on his staff handle? Might make that braided texture pop.
This last weekend I attended the KublaCon gaming convention here in the San Francisco Bay Area. While nothing I entered in the main Painting Exhibition even earned a bronze (Master Class is a tough road so will have to up my skills before next year) my Speed Painting entries did well. The way it works at KCon is that everyone has the same miniature and forty five minutes to complete it. Those who place in the top three of each round (about ten through the weekend) are qualified to sign up for the Masters Round held Sunday night. The first is a space girl from Bombshell Babes that was my qualifier for the final figure and placed first in the round. Honestly, BB minis are hard to paint badly and I was just lucky to have an extra minute to paint freckles and a lip highlight. The goblin is the 2018 KublaCon mini and was used for Sunday night’s final match. Twelve of us had signed up and despite it being TINY there were some amazing paint jobs. Masters Round actually get sixty minutes so can go into more detail. I placed Third with the two beating me being absolutely amazing (subtle blends and nice details). A fun time , all in all, though I am unsure how much longer my middle aged eyes and hands can keep up with the hugely talented young painters coming up the ranks every day.
