Biggabums thought for the day: Never tell your Wife that you have completed your hobby pledge for the weekend early and youre stuck for something to do…. She found me something to do…. lots of something to do.
So now the loft is tidy…. or at least she thinks it is, she can’t get up the ladder to check and I bribed Matty to keep his mouth shut with a Freddo. The Bins and Re-cycling boxes are cleaned… well i squirted water over them with a hose, and the shed is tidy… I moved the rubbish from one end to the other and piled it up neatly.
Did manage to set up a table for our first Batman Game, which we will play tomorrow. Will post Pics, but won’t do a Bat Rep until i’m comfortable with the rules or we’ll be there all day 😀
@tuffyears Kill Team objectives look great. Really liking the Standard Bearer though. Good colour choice on the banner. Looks like your really getting the bug for Gaslands. You definately need a car like that for the M6.
@evilstu Wow you’ve given yourself plenty to do there mate. Quick question for you. Ive noticced that even though the weather has cooled here to a comfortable 23 degrees, when I put a wash on a Mini, it dries really quickly and doesnt seem to pool as well as it does when its cooler, it sort of dries evenly and darkens the whole model rather than in the recesses. Ive tried adding water or thinner, but it hasn’t made any difference to the problem just lightens the tone a bit. I just wondered if you had picked up any tips (especially with the heat you get down there)?
@dawfydd Wow mate thats one helluva Army there. Will look spectacular when its all painted up. The Knights are coming on superbly, youy have the house colour spot on. How do you get the lines between colours so neat, Masking Tape?
Those Space Wolves are making me feel nostalgic. Excellent.
@woldenspoons congratulations on the win. Pics are great.
@mage Yeah I hate painting yellow but found a better way of doing it than I was. Mix a 50-50 shade of Averland Sunset and And Army Painter Rust. Even watered down it only took 2 coats to get a nice even basecoat. Then a first stage highlight of Averland Sunset folowed by a final highlight of Yriel Yellow. The hair was just a red ink on yellow with a yellow drybrush highlight.
Well I did one Officer (Agent Ron with the Tazer) for Batman’s Crew, and I did the Policewoman as a Harley Quinn proxy for Matty (as she still hasnt turned up yet), and I did an Arkham Guard which rounds out Batmans Crew to five and comes in just below the 350 rep. Both the Bane and Joker crews come in smack on 350.
@limburger Yep another Space Above and Beyond fan here. You gotta use Kenny as a name… then if he dies in Battle you can shout “You killed Kenny!” or is that maybe a bit too much 😀
@osbad Welcome to the thread Sir. Very nice work on Johnny Alpha.
