@dawfydd I don’t even wanna know what the damage is on that Voltron kit… am guessing I could get a couple of armies for the equivalent price – and life is all about the opportunity cost, right? 🙂 Yellow does look good, your technique for yellow looks like a winner. Ordered the first 2 volumes of Unstoppable Wasp so will report back once they have been reviewed 🙂 Interesting drop from GW – given the inclusion of GS Cult in the Kill Team starter I wonder if this is a deliberate strategy to try and leverage new players into a more complete starter force or just a happy coincidence/ At any rate, that’s 2 starter game releases in a row that don’t contain Ultramarines…
@tuffyears cruiser has progressed nicely. No idea where an appropriate scale speaker could be sourced from though…
@biggabum Ah fair enough – I suppose I did sort of ask for that with the setup… Yeah my thinking on Napoleonics is that if I start now I should have enough to play proper sized games in 20-30 years time… Seriously though I think a 6mm-10mm force would be the way to go too – would be great to get to grips with some larger scale battles. BMG looks like it was fun.
@mage re bolt action hamlets, they are ‘true scale’ so possibly a little smaller than you would expect. I’ll snap a few photos with some mordheim minis and post so you can see what you think before procuring. Similarly, the laketown buildings, while really beautiful, are scaled to 25mm. Have yo considered scratchbuilding? Fat Dragon have a sale on their print and assemble PDF’s if you have access to a colour printer. Could look good pasted over an MDF/foamcore structure…

Yeah fancy oils are a greyt way of upping your calorie intake when carb free – Off the record I have added avocado oil to instant coffee and called it breakfast occasionally… This IS still a judgement free zone, right?… 😛
@limburger yes but would need a lot more weathering to make it an authentic ‘Bluesmobile’ 🙂
@woldenspoons does that mean Age of Sigmar has three times more explosions?
@sundancer outstanding work on detailing your objective scenery. Also, more Sisters of mercy is always better 😉
@a27cromwell really creative approach with the bases, inspiring stuff!
