I started painting my eight Wolds for Circle Orboros this weekend.  On Friday two of them weren’t built and the rest were primed.  I had them all finished on Sunday and even took time to prime another model and apply some washes to my second unit of Skinwalkers.

I now own 6 Woldwatchers.  They are a single pose model and one of them came with two left arms, which I chose to go with rather than wait weeks for a replacement.  Can you tell which it is?  I’ve done my best to give them all a different pose to give the army more character when they are all on the table together.  What do you think?

I also accidentally started work on my Skinwalkers.  My grey fur method starts with 2 heavy washes that take 10 minutes to apply to the unit but hours to dry properly.  I ran in to a long wash drying time on the Wolds and I hated sitting there watching paint dry so I chose to prevent that happening with the Skinwalkers by getting a head start.  The fur still needs 3 layers of drybrush.  The cloaks will not end up grey, but as I needed to start with a white prime I’m going to drybrush up the cloaks afterwards and use this as a poor mans zenithal preshade and apply a Scale75 Inktense Chesnut ink over the top and see how it goes, although I’m supposed to be working on my 40k Ork project so we will see what I work on when I next pick up a brush.
