I tend to write long posts myself, partly because I have a lot to say, and partly because I tend to be verbose in all things. Generally, I think what a lot of people have said here holds true for me.

I don’t mind long posts at all as a thing that exists. I will start to skim read a post, and if the topic interests me, I am actually pretty glad to read something that in-depth. Especially on things like XLBS where people are really delving into interesting, thought-provoking discussions. If it isn’t, then I move on to the next thing, no harm done!
