@woldenspoons have had the current printer for maybe a year and a half now? Can’t really remember… The plastic is fairly cheap – AUD$25-$40 a roll which will give you a fair bit of output. I think the roads I printed above (pictured on an 8×4 foot table for reference) used a roll and a half or so.

@sundancer coming along nicely. I can practically hear the pew pew noises already 🙂

@mage haven’t used many GW paints in the last 10 years although the ones I have (the technical paints mainly) have been pretty good. Might give it a go. I know what you mean – less grimdark more heavy metal comic relief 🙂

A couple of hours hitting the printer with progressively bigger hammers and it *seems* to be working ok for linear objects. Will see how it goes on curved objects tomorrow once the current print job has executed. I have quiet suspicions it could just be a dodgy roll of filament…
