You could always use saurus shield pieces or dark elf corsair seadragon cloaks.

 

Id say wolves using sniper rifles are appropriate, imho. Not any more or less so than Blood Angels.

 

Third War for Armageddon had: Black Templars, Space Wolves, Blood Angels and Salamanders, to name a few, fyi. There were loads of chapters there.
