Storm is hitting here and the wind is picking up. An orange warning in most of the RoI while a yellow one in place for the rest. Not sure about NI. I think it is due to hit GB also, A roof got blown off a house in a town twenty minutes away, fallen trees across roads here and there too apparently. Im staying in with this viral thing I have.
@evilstu (100 points)
There are a lot of interesting and fun chapters, as well as guard regiments there to choose from. Fair play to you from not balking at painting white armour. I always wanted to do a Scars army since I saw that film Mongul years and years ago but couldn’t do it. Maybe a successor Chapter. Second foundings are always pretty close in behaviour to their parent chapters anyway.
There are 100 Celestial Lions or so left. And Guilliman or one of his envoys encountering the Chapter or hearing what happened would reinforce them up to full strength with new gear to boot. It would be an interesting theme. All line infantry Primaris and some characters while the 100 normal marines left would more or less take over the command structure of the Chapter with their experience. Big RG would probably bring the Inquisition into line for what they did to the Chapter too.
100 points for all the work on the historicals.
I have one of the issues out and will read it shortly. Gotta find the other. Fun times ahead!
Welcome to the thread and indeed better late than never! What are those two female magician miniatures? They remind me of Zatanna from DC comics.
I shall do a separate post for you since you gave such a detailed introudction 😉
@evilstu Well, Armageddon was still going on when the great rift appeared and to the best of my knowledge it is still happening, so you could…
I picked up issue 2 and issue 3 of conquest after the doctors this morning!
Death Guard may have special concoctions for orks know?
I think an early thread might work since people will see it in advance. What are your thoughts dude?
Sounds like you are kicking off into some hard work with the british dragoons.
@woldenspoons Well, you don’t have to buy Orks. Something suitably Orky themed may do. I might start an Orktober thread and a third war for Armageddon Thread (soon ish for this) for anyone interested in doing a collaobrative thing. Not all Orks/orcs are in 40k or even GW after all.
no joy on the Conquest magazines down here unfortunately. there is a 3 marine push fit reavers kit available which would do in a pinch though. because I am doing 3rd war for Armageddon which predates Primaris marines so they don’t suit thematically.
Re Orktober you could do a dedicated ‘Ork/orc hunter’ squad in whatever army/genre you happen to be working on at the time? Although realistcucally I’m not sure Death Guard would be that selective in who they were obliterating…
