@rayzryr I’d say push the contrast a little higher in your red. You can see the shine spot in the blue jewel as a point of interest but after your wash the reds seem slightly dull. Good plan to kick the bases up a notch like you did the dark elves.

My project idea I think might better be served just with the bust that I ordered from Shapeways. I know there are a couple different directions I can take it which will be interesting visually but painful for me to paint. I look at stuff over at Putty and Paint and think of how I can push my experience level higher.

@mage Wow, I need to get done with my behind the scenes project to get some stuff up here. Getting so much done is motivating me to throw on some painted goodness as well.

@sundancer Fell the power of the Dark Side… with Milliput Black! Seriously though, I’d say carve out the areas where the arms are supposed to go, stick in some wire and build up the flowing robes with greenstuff. I’d say it was easier as far as detail work because the robes only have the folds to them that you might need to match. Thankfully you have the correct hands on the weapon and don’t need to worry about sculpting that. I’d guess that maybe the section you’d need to worry about it 4-5mm from the shoulder to the elbow and another 2-3mm to get to the gloves. I’ll link to a guy on YouTube that presents videos pretty well. I used some of his hints here and there to do some of my mods. All in all I think you’ll just need to find the proper angles for the arms and then you’ll be right as rain.
