Not going to miss him.

In the last few years, he’s essentially become the face of Asmodee. FFG meant a lot when it first started. But, now, FFG is a major supporter of MAP (as is CMON). At the same time, at least some of their games have declined in quality (while still being overly complex), such as less content in the last few Eldritch Horror expansions. And you may have heard (better than I have) how FFG treats its employees and playtesters.

Then again, Petersen may have left at the right time in the market. BGG already posted an opinion article by a games publisher about how competitive the boardgame industry is nowadays (not to mention miniatures, imo). At both Amazon and various OLGS’s, I’m finding massive discounts on great hobby games (although this also included a non-hobby game line) that weren’t there last year. (And when Amazon enters your market, expect even more pressure to drive down prices in it.)

Still, if we’re in a glut, I have plenty of games already in the closet, including FFG ones.
