I’ve just checked and my account has my gmail address, which is what it has been emailing.  While setting up my account it may at one point have had my work email auto-populated but I thought I caught that every time.  I guess it may have made it past one click without me noticing?  I know my company monitors its website activity and can theoretically gain access to things like peoples email address without them being given freely.  I always thought better of you guys.  I’m sure if you are deep diving, you’re not storing the data and doing anything malicious.  I only spoke up because this seemed very corporate, and very not you.  I wondered perhaps if someone set this up for you as standard and maybe you didn’t know?  Maybe there’s a checkbox in your system somewhere you didn’t notice?

I’ve had to sit through various sales and marketing meetings.  It’s made me a little more paranoid and suspicious than I already was.

It says “You are receiving this email because you opted in at our website or entered one of our competitions or free give aways! ” at the bottom of the email.  I guess I must have click something while having the wrong email address auto-populated.  I don’t mind.  I just didn’t understand how this happened and I like answers to puzzles.
