Ooooh I also did the games of Heroics and Ros 6mm WW2 and moderns (remember the ful page ads they used to have in all the magazines…the entire catalog in tiny tiny print on a single page (and 50 infantry was £1.05, still remember that to this day the horror as they went over a whole pound for a “baggie” of 6mm goodness).
But for me 6mm really stands out with the more colourful periods and when you’ve got masses of them on a single base (really gives a sense of scale). The project here featuring the 6mm Ancient Germans really shows of the look you can get. 6mm painting is “fiddly”, but pretty quick. No wet blends and filters here (although those Prussians did have it done….crazy).
I don’t think gamers realise just how many 6mm figs you can do in an hour once you have the “production line” set up.
