Hey guys … crazy weekend … but let me try to catch up on the thread.

@irredeemable – that Deathwing dude looks awesome!  Man, I always terrific respect for anyone who paints anything in white and actually pulls it off.  Looks great!

The maps I draw are “hand-drawn” but in Photoshop – WACOM pad, etc.  I don’t use a map editor.  As you say, they aren’t that great.

Here’s an example from when I ran a 25-hour game recreating the entire American landing at Omaha Beach.

Omaha Beach Panzer Leader 01

@unclejimmy – So we were the greasy guys looking at porn at the back of the room?  That’s cool.  I had that coming.  😀   So you’ve got some USMC in your blood?  Awesome.  I knew there was something cool about you!

Yeah, those Rhodesian counters were part of @elessar2590 ‘s project.  He actually started a project thread where he was working on his own Valor & Victory counters for this modern conflict (I’ve been generating my own expansions for V&V WW2 into more modern conflicts, we’ve done Vietnam, Falklands, and Lebanon so far).  Elessar took a stab at Rhodesia.  So I thought I would pitch in and help him out while also covering @stvitusdancern ‘s “Present Arms” night on Sitreo Twitch stream.

Yeah, you mentioned you’d be interested in playing Arab-Israeli Wars on one of our “Oriskany Weekend Wargame” sessions.  I felt bad that we couldn’t fit you in this weekend, so you are at the top of the list for nest weekend if you still want to take a swing at it!   Let me know if you have a preference in factions of 1956, 67, or 73 wars (hell, we could even take a swing at 82 if you want to start with some advanced expansion rules).

Nope, not robbed.  But attacked by the “GET THAT SH*T CLEAN” bug. Just thinking about hobby was getting depressing.  Now I can actually look forward to getting some work done.

Oh, you get used to the reptiles here in the subtropics.  In fact, you learn to appreciate them.  They’re very clean (don’t shit all over the place), they’re not aggressive, and they really help keep the bugs under control, which are the real plague here in South Florida.  Well, that and New Yorkers.  😀 😀 😀

I think @cpauls1 has been trying to get in touch with you.  There may be confusion about your current e-mail address?  If you’re in touch with him, ignore this.

Holy hell, those Infinity minis!  The guy that looks like he’s carrying a modified sci-fi version of an M240 / L7 / FN MAG / whatever-the-hell-ya-wanna-call it is reasonable enough, the guy that’s carrying what looks like a sci-fi Steyr AUG is reasonable … but what’s up with my man carrying a freakin’ 20mm autocannon on his shoulder?  I would say that looks vaguely like a M2HB .50 but that’s even bigger than the Ma Deuce!  I love how the figure is posed, I can almost hear him grunt … “Yo, buddy!  You wanna grab the other end of this friggin’ thing?”

I love the guy with the bush hat.  Very LRRP.  😀

13 years ago?  2006?  Yeah, I was neck-deep in a very serious Werewolf: The Apocalypse chronicle, I used to be a big RPG guy.  That chronicle went for 11 years before all was said and done (1997-2008).  Now I just can’t be bothered.  The drama involved in keeping a group together just so they can crap out on you … very mature.
