Ok, I’m too excited to not share the progress on the Petit GGuy. I’ve got the paint down that I want and only need the gloss coat to finish the Ueno Black mentioned before. I decided to use some Vallejo gold on the nose and eyes just as a point of interest on the face. The barest hint of shift can be caught in the picture. I haven’t gotten to the upright stand yet but it’ll be touches up as well.
Another development is that I’ve decided to make the second Orktober project warboss I had last year into a Flash Gitz. There might be more dakka to add but I’m still working on how to outfit the veritable Snazzgun with even greater levels. The pinning of the metal jaw was irritating but necessary as it will likely snap if I just glued it straight on. The bosspole needs could use some glyphs to add to the figure. More is more and I think that the over the top nature of the kitbash will place me well in the upcoming competition. Picture in future.
Really good to see so many things going on with hobbying. I love this community.
@sundancer Bravo on the link of imagery. I hadn’t intended on that at all. It definitely does harken back to that villain with the color. I’ll be sure to show how they depart in the developing paint work.
@ceppie This version is very beefy. Originally I got it thinking I would get a mod kit to have it setup for the Star Phantoms but that required the masterclass kit and not the easy build one I got. No loss with how its turning out.
@unclejimmy I’ve seen it and been halfheartedly moved. I like my modding of things quite a bit and think that there is something to be said for not just taking everything straight out of the box and playing it. I guess its my inner little boy still building with LEGOs and not really having need for directions on how to make a helicopter with opening canopy, side and rear door. The LEGO Movie really did a number for me with the Builder concept and gave me all sorts of warm fuzzy feeling inside.
