From a modern business perspective you need Ecommerce. What you don’t necessarily need is a million ways to contact people. Landlines and mobile phones, Facebook and a website/webstore with email addresses are more than enough. Realistically I doubt I contact or get contacted by anyone by any other means. Facebook is incredible time consuming. So much so that when I tasked a staff member with dealing with the store’s FB account, I noticed they were spending sometimes 4+ hours a day on it. As a consequence I restricted FB to us uploading event notices, videos and new product announcements. I actually hired a company to monitor our FB page to notify us of urgent questions and complaints which has worked well so far.
