@unclejimmy all alien races are stereotypical planet of hats but despite all of that a few shows manage to make good characters out of such things.

I think that’s why the Cardassians like Garak worked whereas their race didn’t make sense.
I wish I had had the opportunity to see B5 when it was broadcast, because it was cool to see a series that wasn’t about a bunch of holier-than-thou supremacists. That Centauri ambassador and his reptillian counterpart were brilliant.

Those Brother Vinnie minis look good. If it wasn’t for my mountain of plastic I’d might find a way to add them, because there’s nothing wrong with a bit of eye candy.

btw : I’m glad I live in a country where bicycle riders don’t have to wear helmets at all. While I’m certain that these things make sense for kids the adults need to make their own decision whether or not they should wear one.
One day I’ll get myself one of those WW 1 era pilot helmets and matching goggles, because the sort of stuff that gets into your eyes at low speeds is not fun.  For now I make do with a pair of sun glasses, but they’re not that useful at night or in bad weather.

Only two types of people wear helmets on their bike : tourists and idiots on racing bikes who think they’re fast with their fat belly in spandex … and both look stupid.
