I’d certainly be buying a new version of Warmaster if that is their chosen direction but like a few others I think it it more likely that they go 28mm in some format. 28mm is their default position and Warmaster always felt like a bit of a vanity project for both designer and sculptors, none of whom are still at GW. It is a great game and 20 years later still has an active community but perhaps not the sort to attract a commercial return in the manner of Bloodbowl.
Mordheim still seems highly likely for a relaunch at some point, whether tied to this project or not. Lots of love out there for it and GW can see that similar games (Frostgrave) still have significant traction. At the Plymouth show last week the biggest and best display table had a game of Ghost Archipelago on it. I can easily see that sort of attention being lavished on Mordheim should it return. Mighty Empires is also there as an option as we haven’t seen a version of that in a while. I’m sure they won’t do this but I’d like to see a combined scales approach where we can run faction campaigns in Might Empires, fight grand battles in Warmaster and then get some narrative action in 28mm.
