Whats the point in taking a preorder if even GW themselves can’t fulfil it?

Market research, see how viable a product line it is, the return of Necromunda has not been a hot seller in the model shop I do IT for outside of the 8 or so people who already played.  Would not be surprised if Necromunda becomes an online only direct from gw range, if nothing else to make shelf space for pointy elves and presumably a revamped citadel airbrush range given the acknowledgement that airbrushing is a sanctioned method based on the 4.5 mins of useless tutorial they put up on the colour website
