Pledge: to keep a better eye on the thread and chip in more than just this once at the beginning. Preparing for a move and starting a new relationship seems to be getting at my free time.
I have put hobby time on hold in the past.
The main reason was that I wasn’t devoting time/space to pursuing it. I spent money in other directions and I was generally mobile and unable to keep a stable set-up for my tiny fighting men. I think that not having a mindset of just painting but of collecting was a problem. The lack of focus seems to also come in when I think about being without a game system that I could go out regularly and interact with people for games. I got back into the habit as I was the only one i my RPG gaming group that took the hobby seriously for tabletop play. Bare naked metal figures that were just older than I was seemed boring. Having real figures that represented monsters instead of dice/coins just worked so much better.
Since I’ve been under a rock lately here’s my banner progress for my current project
@commodorerob University… did some of that but I never finished my degree *shrug* life sends you in interesting directions. How could intense study get in the way of an occasional dice chucking session?
@limburger Tiny fighting men and lots of materiel. Just one step away from big stompy robots and too much tiny detail in Battletech.
I agree that the WoD material writing was awesome. VtM and Changeling were superb as gaming environments. I think I could have gotten into other systems if exposed earlier. Well, maybe not Werewolf, the story idea just didn’t catch me.
@crazyredcoat Well, thanks to the visit by Corona-chan we all get to hobby more. Eventhough you live in the middle of BFE you can build/paint all you need in order to stay(?) relatively sane. Enjoy the projects as we also get to follow along with your progress.
@danlee Continuation of work, good show. Keep at it and show off what you’ve got.
@sundancer I’m onboard with limburger on the low pressure use. I can see the possibility of high pressure injections occuring (my parents got their polio vaccines that way) but its unlikely as 12 psi (no idea for bar). If its a concern disposable gloves are an option. These are a good idea if you were to spray lacquer based varnishes for masses of troops to keep your gripping hand clean. The one on the airbrush is well behind the nozzle and will be ok.
