Thanks all for the input 🙂
We are listening and will be reaching out real soon to start gathering even deeper thoughts from the community into the platform and this will pretty much set the development roadmap for the next couple of years.
There are a couple of reasons we haven’t knee-jerked into firing up a separate forum. Primarily the current focus is on improving overall performance of the whole platform. ‘Red Paint’ a performance upgrade is being worked on @timchubb can maybe chime in with more info on that. (Also during CoG radio I go into some detail on the technical aspects of the platform we are working on https://mega.nz/file/TkNFSQDY#d0fGkqvQ8B8nydelgZRhvxLfojoYeHvwEPmmqFWinDc its worth a listen if your interested)
Secondly, my preference is for things to be more integrated not less. A number of the requests above could be implemented into an improved version of what we have now. The performance issues are the real area of R&D at the moment – but this is an important point, if we nail the performance issues in one area of the platform (for example by moving to a flatter table structure etc) we have then unlocked the potential to improve performance in many areas of the platform as the underlying architecture is quite similar. (So many areas can benefit from that – moving platform just introduces yet another architecture into the mix and all the additional overheads that come with it)
So yeah, performance is where we currently are at, as if we can nail it, it unlocks a lot of potential progress. 🙂
