The stat counting is also misleading, sure there’s 950 members, how many of those joined just to listen into cog radio once in a while and after that have no participation. 26 active members is probably right, it varies over time depending on the day of the week but to say that isn’t a community is straight up elitist and the sort of comment that does split a community.

@jamescutts Perhaps I just phrased it poorly. That kind of elitism was exactly my point. That wasn’t 26 at any one time, it was across the whole time – the idea that they represent the “main contributors” of the community was what I was disagreeing with. The vast majority don’t engage there; the same as I’m sure there are large numbers of registered members don’t use the projects system or interact much beyond watching videos and reading the news here. I’m very happy that the Discord works for people, I don’t think it means we should cease improving other areas of the community which was the post I was commenting after.

@arloid I’m the same. I usually do hobby during the radio show and just ignore the chat. Occasionally a gif is just too perfectly timed to not deserve a reaction though!
