@sundancer I believe I did not. In part because I still want it and because I believe it’s not going to help them either and also because I kind of forgot.

As I said … any money I spend on kickstarters I consider ‘lost’, so any return I get is a win.
Reading about the stuff that they go through is (almost) reward enough.

My most wanted kickstarter at the moment is the Mycroft voice assistant, because I really believe that this is the only one that is ethically version of a thing that by its very nature has to invade your privacy :

This also highlights the most annoying thing of kickstarters : things don’t always go as planned …
The initial design was flawed and they’ve adapted it to make it work.
It’s not quite as sexy as the initial idea, but if I had to chose between nothing and an alternative that does work then the choice is easy : get me the thing that works.

Heck … I’m not sure if a voice assistant will add value, but I am sure that the privacy first mission statement *is* the only way to do this. It’s just such a shame that most people are too ignorant/stupid/blind to understand why this is important for this type of device.
