@pagan8th – that sounds like a brilliant idea. I love western skirmish games (almost as much as sci-fi ones).
I never have any luck printing terrain either on my FDM or resin printers (I guess I just don’t like the look of FDM printed terrain and the resin stuff warps too easily and never quite prints “true” or square).

But I’ve a load of Gangfight miniatures STLs on a hard drive somewhere – if you let me know the height (scale?) I could have a go at printing some rescaled western characters out for you to try? (N-gauge is 1:160? So a 6ft(ish) high character would be around 12mm?). I don’t remember just how detailed they are, they may scale down that small and still be ok?
