    General Discussion: Small case

    Hey guys,

Im looking for a cheap carry case that can hold: A Batman Crew, Malifaux Gang, Mordheim Gang, Necromunda Gang or Bloodbowl Team. That kind of size of models: 3-15 models. Particularly for at least 5 32mm batman models for a friend for Christmas.

    Thanks in advance!

Oof.. If its a short notice Xmas present then that’s cutting it close for anything that you’d order being shipped long distance.

Here’s a quick rundown of what I could pull

    Games Workshop

    KR Multicase

    Battlefoam

    A-Case

    Feldherr

Reaper (a simple carrying case they use for their other sets but maybe slower as its from the US)

Check out the Tabletop Tyrant cases at http://www.giftsforgeeks.org.uk

They’re similar to the KR Multicase range, but a bit cheaper.

What about a generic toolbox for screws/fishing gear or a basic jewelry storage box ?

You probably want to use magnets or foam to keep the minis in place during transport, but it might be the sort of stuff you can find in your local DIY store or ‘normal’ hobby store. Should be pretty cheap too.

You could start with something like this Kuggis box from Ikea :

    https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50282304/

Add this as an insert (I think this should fit as it is described as an insert for the Kuggis series):

I do have several A-cases from the kickstarter, but they’re big enough to carry an army so they’d be overkill for small team skirmish games like Batman & Killteam.

I think I need to look into this sort of stuff myself, because I do need something a bit more suitable for my killteams .

Example of a fishing tackle box used for storage :

I have an Aquila 1 from KR multicase for Dreadball. It’s very portable, with room for tokens and doohickeys.

The local discount store had a stack of 3 plastic boxes with inserts which allow for 6 models per box (18 figures total).
The only things that don’t really fit are big things like the Primaris ancient with standard from the 8th edition starterset.

The big captain kind of fits.
I think standard human sized minis would be alright.

@limburger Thanks for the recommendation but it wont be right for my friend’s delicate resin Batman minis from Knight models

@theamazingmrg I will check them out, thank you for the recommendation 😉

@horati0nosebl0wer Short notice indeed but you stepped up, and with quite a lot of links too! Thanks 8)

Cool! My friend does not have storage or too large a mini collection so this one makes more sense

@mage : I was planning on adding magnets to the figures and glueing metal strips (or magnetic tape) to lock them in place.

I remembered another option that was mentioned on this website :

    Standard wooden box

I think the BoW team were given a box each many moons ago.
