Heads up for any Zeo Genesis Backers (Best Hobby) on Gamefound.

Looks like the increased costs have put a spanner in the works for the production of the plastic minis for the game. Best Hobby are offering 3D physical prints OR a refund for the physical part of any pledge to backers. With things being so volatile with tariffs, productions costs, shipping from China etc this might not be the only crowd funded project to hit such troubles in the near future. Anyhow here’s a link to the update….

I’m surprised this kind of thing didn’t happen earlier. There must have been multiple crowd funded things that got a big d*ck slap in the face with tariffs and whatnot.

Kudos to Best Hobby for being open about it and offering options.

That being said, I’m glad I didn’t join that campaign. Best of  luck to all involved.

A lot were prepared as the pandemic had prepared them for the fact that shipping costs are unpredictable these days.
And so far it’s been the American backers that got to suffer as not all of them needed to ship everything from the USA hub.

It sucks for anyone affected though.

(I don’t want to imagine the chaos that will ensue with CGL’s crowdfunding projects … they recently posted an update and it’s obvious they are still in a big mess.)
