Kickstarter – The Goliath Land Train

Seeing as there doesn’t appear to be any Kickstarte watch any more, This one’s for all you Sci-Fi and Post Apoc Gamers.

 

Kore Aeronautics have a new Kickstarter and, in my opinion, it’s something pretty awesome. To give you some background this is their 4th Kickstarter having previously released the L.A.R.C. VTOL, a range of 32mm tabletop cars and then the same range of vehicles in 15mm. I backed the first two and they both delivered with 1 month of the estimated date (the VTOL a month early and the cars a month later).

The new Kickstarter is for a
Goliath Land Train (there’s a couple of other vehicles included but really, it’s all about the Land Train). I have put some pictures below and I can personally see so many uses for this. It’s also something fairly unique in terms of scenery pieces and I am not currently aware of anything that’s even remotely like it.

This could be used in a wide range of games from Star Wars Legion to Mad Max style Post Apocalypse games. I’m considering getting one and using it as my Orlock gang base in Necromunda, Surrounded by smaller vehicles, as if they have been out scavenging in the wastelands outside of the Hive.

Thanks for the heads’ up – that does look very cool.   I really like the APC too – reminds me of the ones from Dropzone Commander (but bigger!).

I’m thinking I will probably get the Land Train and the APC.  The Land Train I want as a scenery piece, the APC I am getting just because I like the model.  I will probably get a second trailer for the land train because let’s face it, I think you lose something by only having the one trailer.  I will then set about making some mounts for the trailers to make it look like a mad max War Rig and this will serve as the gang hideout, or part of it, for my Orlocks.
