Latest post from The Plastic Soldier Company on a huge expansion in various gaming sizes for WW2…

    BIG NEWS!
    NEW WW2 3D PRINTED 6mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm and 20mm ranges!

We were so impressed with the new special tabletop resin we have been using to print 10mm and 15mm Cromarty ancients miniatures that we decided to test it on WW2 and Cold War vehicles and…..WOW! The results have been astounding in terms of detail and durability in all scales.

So…….we have put together a specially curated collection of 3d printed WW2 miniatures from Plastic Soldier, Excellent Minis and some of the best digital designers and sculptors with the aim to offer complete 6mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm and 20mm WW2 German, British and Commonwealth, US, Soviet, Italian, French, Polish, Hungarian, Romanian and Japanese ranges.

We aim to comprehensively cover options and variants with drop down choice menus for many products. For example, the Panzer IV has options from A to J with zimmerit where applicable and even a couple of destroyed versions. Each product will also be available singly or in multi buy unit packs of 3,4 or 5 miniatures at an increasing discount.

6mm, 10mm and 12mm wholly 3d printed and 15mm and 20mm a mixture of existing Plastic Soldier hard plastic kits and 3d prints

Starting with German vehicles, we have the vast majority of WW2 German vehicles loaded and will be adding artillery and infantry very soon.

We will then work our way through the rest of the nations in the next few weeks.

Products will be printed to order so please allow 2-12 days and will be manufactured and shipped for UK customers in the UK, for EU customers in the EU and for Rest of World customers from either UK or Germany. So no nasty extra import, customs or VAT costs for EU customers!

We have something very special and new in terms of infantry………

Cold War Northag will also be getting the same treatment…..

It will be interesting to see if they can rival GHQ in 6mm – the detail is the winning factor.

I’ve moved on from painting for GHQ, and am now working with N scale (“12mm”), Victrix, predominately; the speed of the ranges being expanded is something that is slowing my purchases down. So if PSC can hit my sweet spot of 1942 Eastern Front, I will be buying a LOT of these – particularly if the detail is as good as the photos suggest.

My wallet will hurt for a long time.

Those look very nice . Sure wish PSC had continued with their 28mm line , really love those 45mmm Anti Tank guns . ( crews , not so much ) It would have been nice to see other guns like a ZIS-2 or ZIS-3 added with some redesigned crew .

Well I’ve got nothing but nice things to say about the Moderns 10mm 3D printed Infantry that I got from PSC. Such a joy to not have to mess around with flash and mold lines (although with the quality, comes a premium price). Personally I find the less messing around I need to do on a figure before slapping the paint on, then the more likely that I am to paint it and get them down on the table (as too often figures requiring “prep”, which I hate doing end up in the pile of shame “to be done later”). These are going to be probably a bit pricey compared to other options, but if you’ve got a pile of shame then you’ve been overbuying on the minis anyway (and can afford the extra). Waiting to see more infantry releases for NORTHAG (and CENTAG), and we’ll have to see what appears in the WWII lines (Hungarians and Rumanians have me interested, how about some Slovak troops….(nobody ever seems to do Slovak troops for WWII…grumble)).
