Just FYI

When ever you (BoW/OTT) upload anything to YouTube (either the main or the clips channel) I get the notification email really late. Just now it was 4 hours after you posted “New Gloomhaven”

But it’s not only you. there are some YouTube channels (like Jim Sterling) that have (sometimes) notifications getting out late.

It’s getting quicker

So after having eyes on this now for a few days I guess it’s safe to say that it’s the fault of my mail provider “web.de” who is part of  “United Internet” Somewhere in the depths of their servers youtube notifications seem to take extra turns in spam protection.

For once it’s not the fault of google/YouTube

Update: yesterday (31.10.2019) the last video that went up had a 6+ hours delay on notification with my web.de account but was instantly there with my self hosted mail service.

Today both seem to be on time again. This is really weird.

This has been a thing with established YouTube channels for the last year

 

Try unsubscribing band then subscribing again to the page on YouTube and that might he help. YouTube’s algorithm has been getting weird for the last 12-18 months ish

the algorithm was also bonkers…. I might try that subscription thingy
