Time for the second instalment of our 300pts Battle Report, the USAriadna have started out strong in an aggressive attack that has put them in the lead.
Will Killian and the Nomads be able to drag back a win from this fight?

and as usual Carlos is mistoken at 32:10 Shock ammo got no effect at minis with Above 1 W so no stright to dead – just Unc .. but this not matter 😛
but i would call this N9omad list Handicapped Vs ariadna ..
HE GOT THE RULE WRONG!
Shock ammo only kills outright if a model has 1 wound on the original profile, so 2 wound models are safe, even if they go down to one wound. Cheesy Carlos is cheesy :p

lol Carlos, you cheat 😉 you cant go prone at the end of your move.. you can only go prone at the start of one of your short movement skills.. Killian wins by default 😛

why not change all the ranges to cm. and stop using the old and outdated inch 😉
They use cm in the non-english language versions of the rules actually but for English speaking Wargamers inches are a more established system already.

It’s a shame the comments are filled with non-sense… We could, as a community, have discussed a lot of what happened during this great battle report. This is not the Beasts of War community I know.

Question: at 7.12 she turns around and has LoF to Van Zant. Could she have stayed there and when Van Zant executes another order use ALERT to give her teammates a chance to Change Facing.
ALERT: The user must have LoF to an active enemy who declares or executes an Order.
Yes I could have used Alert instead but I gambled on being able to take him out early before he did more damage. If I’d used alert my other troops could have made change facing rolls on PH-3 which if successful could have changed the outcome of the game a bit.
Still Van Zant was on a huge winning streak with rolls so I think he would have walked away with it regardless.
I was hoping the Mobile Brigada would pull something epic, and be a last man standing. Alas, it was the Reverend Mother that ended up being the last one left.
And, as usual, AD ruins the day… For your opponent that is.
I think I’ll be adding hand-written notes to my army lists so that I can remember all the details of my skills and characteristics, like Total Immunity and what my Multispectral Visor does and does not let me see through.

Probably the most effective Van Zant I’ve ever seen.
Indeed, a veritable roller-coaster ride of thrills, spills and adventure.
I still think all the ranges should be in the metric system. There are no logic to use inch since both US and UK officialy use the metric system.

Great battle report. It’s been a great infinity week
Corvus Belli, has developed the best game of the century. Free rules from the start (no GW gimmic) exclusive mini’s. And they just seem to stay true to the ethos of gamers. Infinity is such a realistic game with true development. AROs keeping everyone in the game all the time is so refreshing from the GWesk 1% buffering type play. Carlos rules too. BoW your awesomr in everythimng you do.
I didn’t want to expand out of my Caledonians, but I may have to for USAriadna.

So I between the two batreps, I think I have decent idea how USAriadna plays. Very strong alpha strike capacity with the impetuous/smoke combo on sturdy and accurate platforms with the mavericks and devil dogs. Seems to focus more on the ability to take fire rather than avoid it all together like the usual Ariadna camo tricks, though we’ve certainly not seen everything yet. There’s more emphasis on firepower and armor compared to Merovignes tricks and more tech shenanigans then the Scots, not that that’s saying anything for Ariadna. Looks interesting to play to say the least.

Well that was brutal! Great battle report guys.
Nice game. But isnt usariadna not op? Same waepon but much more units, so orders? Can out gun anytime. Still find it weird one guy can use all command tokens. Also one team goes with all miniatures then the next.. will have to dig into this ruleset.
USAriadna had numerical superiority in this game which gives them more orders to play with on their turn If I’d managed to get first turn or if my Iguna had survived into my turn I could have brought its heavy firepower to bear. Likewise I should have been more aggressive with the likes of the Mobine Brgada and the Reverend Healer as they are powerful troops.
USAriadna isn’t OP its just in this game Carlos was able to do allot of damage on his first turn and I had a poor fist turn as well which I never quite recovered from. A total reaction remote in this list would have been very damaging to Carlos on his turn.

Having finally been persuaded to delve into Infinity after being totally Warhammer 40k obsessed – I’m digging through all your Infinity vids like a mad loon!
This starter set looks epic – typical though I’ve decided the Aleph are for me but the revised rules are tantalisingly near yet so far! 🙂
I liked the USAriadna week. I am keened to see more Infinity faction weeks in the future. Hopefully this is only a starting point.

This really makes me concider starting my 5th. infinity faction…
Jaysus but that turned into a massacre. A great advert for the USAriadna as they really got to show what they could do. I think more than a few people will be enamoured with a force that can deal out that kind of punishment. Although the dice rolling seriously went Carlos’ way. Cillian must have offended an old gypsy woman on the way to the studio as his rolls were definitely cursed! And in future he might want to keep the TAG in hiding until Van Zant shows up!

I realise this might get a bit lost, but I’ll echo other comments with regards to this being a really good battle report to watch / follow, in addition to the previous smaller one vs Pan O, and in fact the large Nomad vs Pan O game from the previous Infinity Icestorm Week.
I look forward to other games with Killian, who really does seem as though he is a lovely guy to play a game of Infinity with, and Carlos when the next Infinity week comes back around.
As a Nomad player and a future USAriadna player, this batrep leaves me very conflicted.

excelent battle, the devil dog has amazing and its a badass and beautiful miniature. and the bounch of orders. im player of PanO and there pool of order is 10 or 9, but ariadna is allways 17 or 24 orders depending on the list, that is OP inmy opinion.
