Colour Chess & Stakbots Take Shape On The Tabletop

Colour Chess & Stakbots Take Shape On The Tabletop

Come and find out what's happening with these quirky little games called Colour Chess and StakBots here at the event.

One of these games is focused on twisting the idea of chess and the other, StakBots, is a great game which is fun, cutthroat and more besides.

I wouldn’t mind a crack at the colour chess especially. You’d really have to think about what you’re doing! LOVE the Stakbots!

I love colour chess. I’ve seen a few twists on chess and never been impressed, this is a great “hack” though

Stakbots looks interesting – love the artwork and the mechanics sounds a bit mental but fun. Colour chess? Not sure – does chess need reinventing? Perhaps work better as a standalone game rather than as “chess”?

That second one (lure?) looks interesting, like an abstract tactical wargame. (I suppose chess is an abstract strategic wargame?)

Here we are on day two. I’m still taking a stab at trying to win so forgive this shameless post as I’m going after either the 4Ground stuff or the Bushido stuff. I play Bushido here in the states. I teach it to whoever will listen, and I just try and represent it as it is. The best miniature game I’ve played.

Stakbots is great, I got this a couple of years ago at ukge and it is now a staple game I carry around with me, perfect for a quick 10 mins of gaming with mates over dinner or in a pub

I like that there are 2 games you can play on one color board.
