Very true.

‘blood & valor’ … now that is a cool name.
It will be interesting to see blood&plunder type mechanics applied to another era.

oh … and my wallet hates you already, ’cause I just know I want it.

A Wild West themed skirmish game would be kind of cool too.
Call it ‘Blood & Sixguns’ or something (thank me later ;-))

Make sure they send you royalties for that name @limburger . 😀

@limburger I have copyrighted and trademarked “Blood & Whiskey” for my own Saloon Brawl Game, just in case they use it instead of your name 🙂

“Blood & Porter” will bring the game to Victorian England and “Blood and Stout” is set in Ireland! I think I am onto something here 🙂

Blood & Bourbon for American battles in the South. 😀

WW1 looks very interesting. Would like to see a few rounds of it played.

I will try to talk to the guys at Firelock about it again. The “exhibit” they had set up at the moment was very small.

WWI looks cool.

For me WWI in 28mm is most interesting in 1914 and 1918. Few trenches, more mobility and one side isn’t just sitting there the whole game (I despise scenarios that just have one player sitting still and shooting).

How does anyone go to historicon and ever find the time to stand still and watch anything? How is everyone just not constantly running around yelling “OMG that’s so freaking cool over there”?

Agree 100% @elessar2590 – in our “Top Five Tips for World War I Gaming” back for the 2018 Centennials, tip number one was: Avoid the Middle … i.e., play 1914 and 1918, avoid 1915, 16, 17 … at least at first.

In my opinion it depends on the scale of the game and which theatre your running the game in

This is also true, I was assuming we were talking about Western Front Europe, which I shouldn’t do.

Blood and Plunder is a good game!!

My favorite part is the historical fidelity. No Flying Dutchman in that game. 😀

Can’t wait for Oak and Iron. More demo’s are coming next month.

I am sold on the WW1 game, I keep throwing money at the screen hoping a box pops back out! LOL!

I literally just stood on the street corner at 10:30 PM talking with the the guys from Firelock and Phalanx Consortium. They say they’re running a Blood & Valor demo tomorrow. I DEFINITELY want to get back down there for a demo of Ultracombat Normandy. Now it’s just a question of getting the camera crew down there.

Totally… That looks really interesting. Skirmish is the way to go too.

Once you get INTO the trenches, yes.

There is always a space for another WW1 game. I have been totally into ww1 since Airfix polyethylene 1/72 minies at the age of 7 or 8.
Justin, do a snatch raid and get the boys back to Ireland.

WW I, yes. The board seems very small to me.
Skirmish games for WW I games can be rather difficult to be made interesting, but some scenarios offer themselves for a good game. For instance, that would be my personal first choice, the capture of Fort Vaux.

Demo board only. Full table is usually bigger.

The ww1 game is very interesting. I’ll be keeping an eye out for that when it comes out.

These guys are just down the road from us @oriskany we really gotta go pester them one day! You know how I like my big ship combat, even if they aren’t in the atmosphere of a gas giant.

I am really interested in their WWI game.

I really want to give Oak & Iron a try and this WWI skirmish game sounds promising too.

WW1 is quite a departure. Glad to see the creativity’s still flowing. Nice one fellas.

Especially since this isn’t just a WW2 game “re-skinned” into a WW1 setting.

These guys make some really cool stuff. I gotta go to this con next year.
