Hit The High Seas At Fort Mosquito

Come and take a look at this piratical and idyllic looking tabletop that was being played over at Salute this year where we focused in on some action on the high seas.

It's a neat looking tabletop and it's always good to see a splash of bright colours.

Swedes versus Dutch in the Americas, fun ti see such a more niche scenario. Especially as a Swede. 🙂

I saw the Dutch tricolour and wondered why we were attacking the Ikea nation. 😀
I kind of hope we won though 😉

Thsi looks like the Dutch West India Company (the ‘W’ in the flag)

The other flag on the ship belongs to the city of Amsterdam :

They actually play out the story of how IKEA started, several hundreds of years ago. As a swede I am touched by the historical accuracy of the event, when the dutch and swedes fought in the so-called “Billy”-war. It began after an escalating feud regarding how to follow the instructions when assemblng the first known Billy Bokhylla (bookshelf dubbed Billy). The rest is as they say, history…

ARRRR shiver me timbers, plunder Yarrrr Booty Arrr. Sorry.
Pirates or Ninjas: the eternal Question. For me it has gotta be a Pirate Ninja- You still get to plunder tharrr booty, but they do not see you coming or going ;-p

It’s a really cool idea to have a costal table with so much ocean to be played on. I bet that’s a really fun one to play.
