I don’t know battletech, but I still *eh* want that display.
That display is scary epic. 😀
I’m pretty sure it will scare your wallet and credit card too 😉
In all fairness and honesty, the additional real estate on the table would be an issue as well. These things WOULD take upa little space, around your map, etc. It would remove the need for sheets, though. And of course no one says you have to use these with ALL the mechs on the table. You could have one for your favorite mech or command mech, and still paper sheets for the remaining 3 mechs in your lance or 11 mechs in your company.
@oriskany agree with all above but some how know we are likely to buy some!
for the campaigns I used to run where a player would be part of lance or company with just one or two mechs to a player who would have those mechs for months of a campaign it would really add to flavour, but they would have to buy there own!
Oh, by no means was I discouraging anyone from buying one! HELL no. Jeez, if for no other reason than that big red “master arm” switch on the dash board.
I can hear the comm …
“You are cleared to engage. Authorize weapons free.”
“Roger that.” FLIP. “Weapons hot at this time…”
Looked like Detroit to me.
🙂
Yep, that battletech display is epic and probably way more expensive than I can afford since you will need a set of screen per mech. May make for a nice display piece but no way as functional game piece. For all the cool ways I have seen to keep track of hits with BT, paper seems to be the best and no idea why someone has not come up with affordable wet erase marker sheets.
I would just add that no one says you have to use these with ALL the mechs on the table (although again, that would be BADASS). You could have one for your favorite mech or command mech, and still paper sheets for the remaining 3 mechs in your lance or 11 mechs in your company.
True! But what fun would that be? 🙂 I would just like one as a display piece and then maybe a few inserts with my favorite mechs that I can rotate.
Also, have you been following the development of Gamma Wolf — a mech ruleset that can use any mechs from any range?
I’ll have to check out Gamma Wolf. Thanks for the heads up. 🙂
Sweet looking BT tech display.
Hell yeah.
That BT display is awesome (pardon the pun)
I want to see a table with all four sides RINGED with these things, 12 of these displays in a 6-on-6 mixed reinforced lance battle.
Ah oh!
My mad money is trying to spend itself on those displays!
Very cool.
And did I see a ship earlier that looks like the new ‘Lost in Space’ Jupiter-2? What scale was that? It would be great for my Lost in Space RPG if 28mm.
From what I understood everything these was 28-32mm. So it would go great with most sci-fi ranges up to Infinity.
fab stuff love the vtol shuttle and the Dune carryall? the best.
Get him to the sand harvester before the worm comes to eat him!
WOW! Great Battletech display! I want!
Definitely awesome.
@ORISKANY WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT WITH SOAP YOUNG MAN! fancy even suggesting laying off the Battletech its a universe of wonder and excitement with big mechs and cool characters it should be mandatory learning at school lol
I know, I am ashamed. 🙁 🙁 🙁
Have you played the steam BattleTech game they have Jim, I loved the PlayStation 1/2? version back then.
Technically I think those are “Mechwarrior” series, same universe. Yes, I used to have Mechwarrior 2 on PC … man, like 25 years ago.
yup I think that was the name a great game.
🙂
That is really nice.
Need one for my Mad Cats! (Every time I’ve said that this Con, people have rolled their eyes at me. It’s like people don’t like the Clans or something).
Go Ghost Bear! 😀 😀 😀
That battletech console is off the chain! I don’t play battle tech, but I’d like one of those just because it looks so cool!
I suppose there’s nothing to say you couldn’t put other slides in there for other displays, assuming you could get them printed and cut the right size.
